Events 46 maltatoday, Sunday, 19 July 2015 Mapfre Middlesea is pleased to an- nounce the availability of another benefit that is being added to its Pri- vate Motor Insurance Product. This new benefit is available as standard to those customers that purchase Third Party Fire & Theft or Third Party Only coverage. With effect from 1 August 2015, the Mapfre Middlesea Private Motor Insurance Policy is being enhanced with Wise Protect. With this benefit, should an insured car be declared a total loss, Mapfre Middlesea will compensate the client with the sum of €500 to financially assist in the purchase of another vehicle, which is then insured with Mapfre Mid- dlesea. Full details about this benefit are outlined in Section 7 of the Mapfre Middlesea Motor Insurance Policy which is available on the company's website (www.middlesea.com). Keith Mallia-Milanes, Assistant General Manager at Mapfre Mid- dlesea said that "Mapfre Middlesea aims to provide more than just in- surance by continuously launching innovative insurance products. Emirates unveils Arsenal branded plane ahead of team's pre-season trip to Singapore Emirates, a global connector of peo- ple and passions, and official part- ner of Arsenal Football Club has unveiled its first plane to feature Ar- senal branding as the team fly out for the start of the club's summer tour to Singapore this week. The Gunners arrived in style on an Emirates B777-200LR chartered aircraft that has been specially de- signed for their Arsenal Singapore 2015 visit. The specially customised Emir- ates 777 showcases the Arsenal crest alongside images of first team play- ers, Aaron Ramsey, Danny Welbeck, Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere on one side of the aircraft, and Santi Cazorla, Mesut Özil, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud on the other, making it easily identifiable from both on the ground and in the air. Menus and headrests on-board have also been given an Arsenal-themed transformation. The club will be playing two matches at the National Stadium in Singapore for the Barclays Asia Tro- phy 2015. Emirates Airline first began its partnership with the Barclays Pre- mier League club in 2004, and ex- panded its shirt sponsorship in 2006 to include the naming rights to Ar- senal's new home ground, Emirates Stadium. Emirates operates a daily sched- uled flight between Dubai and Mal- ta via Larnaca, Cyprus. For further information and flight schedules, one can visit the site: www.emirates. com/mt Wise Protect benefit added to Mapfre Middlesea Motor Insurance Policy PKF Malta present comprehensive report on Solvency II With the Solvency II regulation just around the corner, PKF Malta felt that there was a need to meas- ure the impact of the Solvency II regulation on the Maltese insurers. With the collaboration of Finance- Malta PKF carried out a survey and the results were presented during a workshop which PKF sponsored at Finance Malta Annual Conference in May. A copy of the Survey and recommendations were also pre- sented to the Minister of Finance Edward Scicluna. The survey was based on a sci- entific questionnaire, which com- prised various aspects of the new regulation. Among areas covered were Pillar I, the Forward Looking Assessment of Own Risks, Pillars II and III, management and person- nel, the costs incurred as well as the perception of the Maltese insurers in view of the obligations set out by the regulator.
