44 Events maltatoday, SUNDAY, 13 NOVEMBER 2016 Philips' wellness and healthy living innovations displayed at Flamingo The latest developments of the Philips brand were explained to pharmacists and retailers by three Philips representatives, Mr An- drea Morales, Ms Rosangela Pizzi and Ms Antonella Curcio who came over to Malta specifically to deliver presentations at the Fla- mingo Showroom in Qormi and visit a number of pharmacies and outlets. "In the personal care sector, Philips created products answer- ing to four particular consumers' needs being skin comfort, perfec- tion, speed and practicality," said Mr Morales. He explained the various advantages of the four Philips shavers, namely the Series 9000, 7000 and 5000 and also the Aqua Touch considered to shave 10 times better than the tradition- al blade. Ms Curcio introduced the NewLumea Essential – BRI 861 IPL Hair Removal for women seeking a product to prevent hair growth on face and body which has a larger 3.2 cm2 window for rapid use and can be used on the face apart from various parts of the body, resulting in up to 75% of the hairs removed after only four treatments. Surrounded by a display of over 175 different Philips products, the representatives explained Philips's healthy living mission focusing on improving people's lives by help- ing them to be healthier and en- joy life. One of the best ways to be healthy is to have healthier diets. "For those with a busy lifestyle, Philips created products that give people efficient solutions for a healthier and tastier diet, with barely anything going to waste," explained Ms Curcio. They dem- onstrated the pastamaker making all sorts of excellent tasting home- made pasta in just 10 minutes. Ms Pizzi said: "One only needs to pour the ingredients inside and the pastamaker does the selected pasta type for you on its own. It's that simple." Philips' micro juicer HR1894 stole the show for its small size – only 11cm wide - that can fit even in the smallest of kitchens and is easily cleanable. One can even add nuts, like almonds, or frozen fruit for a frozen smoothie. With an easily detachable design and rim- less parts, this juicer can be quick- ly cleaned using only tap water. "Nothing can be easier," was Ms Pizzi's reply to the question: how does Philips' soup maker work. "One just adds the ingredients and selects one of the four pro- grammes. An excellent, healthy and homemade cream or soup is cooked in less than 25 minutes, while one is doing something else." "Usually, when it comes to buy- ing personal care or kitchen equipment, these fall within two categories: the ones we give to others and the others we present to ourselves. In our busy lives, many times we are faced with some difficulty in determining what gift to get. And this tends to get a bit more complex as Christ- mas approaches. With its stylish and versatile range of more than 175 products, Philips offers a great selection of options at an afford- able price," Morales said. Andrea Morales explaining the features of the innovative Philips 9000 Series Fapi Motors refine their motors Fapi Motors would like to congratulate their motor- cycle mechanic, Ryan Micallef, for successfully com- pleting training at the KTM plant in Austria. Fol- lowing the successful completion of his first training course in July entitled KTM Bronze Level, the me- chanic also attended the KTM Silver and Orange Levels this October. These maximize the learning experience of the me- chanic by providing valuable experience that he can use again and again at the workshop.
