Sultana also explained that for the pro- gramme to be more flexible, the employers will be provided with a total of 330 subsi- dised hours and they can distribute them as they think it would be best for their busi- ness. He said that in the public services and sec- tor, students should be utilised to develop outreach projects, where students have a strong potential, the appropriate skills and the capabilities to deliver. Sultana ex- plained that students are ideal to take part in informative campaigns about new elec- tronic services made available by entities; can be helpful in raising awareness and in the making of videos and digital media. While encouraging the private sector, the public service and the voluntary organisa- tions to offer working opportunities to stu- dents, Sultana explained that whoever is interested must enrol through MITA's web- site. Students who apply for the SPP pro- gramme must have a qualification in ICT (or a qualification in an ICT related subject) at level 4 on the Maltese Qualification Frame- work.
