JAMES DEBONO MALTATODAY'S latest survey has shown few changes over last week's polls, with Prime Minister Joseph Muscat widening his trust lead by 0.6 points to 5.3 points, and Labour also slightly extending its lead from 3.2 to 3.9 points. While all changes are within the margin of error, an extrapolation of the survey after removing unde- cided voters and non-voters would give Labour 52%, the PN 47% and AD and other parties 1%. In a clear indication that La- bour's electorate is closing ranks, this week's MaltaToday survey held during the second week of the campaign shows further signs of retrenchment among Labour vot- ers. Only 2% of PL voters of 2013 are now intent on not voting, down from a peak of 11% in February 2016. And the number of Labour non- voters which had been consist- ently declining, falling to 6% im- mediately before the election was announced, is now at 3%. The per- centage of undecided respondents who had voted Labour in 2013 has also dropped by six points com- pared to last week. Busuttil yesterday shrugged off questions as to whether he could find himself taking responsibility for fanning the 'Egrant' allegations, instead insist- ing that Muscat had entered an election with people like Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri, revealed in the Panama Papers of having opened secret offshore companies (SEE PAGE 7). Muscat yesterday also said that if elected, he would remove parliamentary immunity for MPs. 1 8 9 10 2 3 4 6 5 7 11 12 13 YOUR FIRST READ AND FIRST CLICK OF THE DAY WWW.MALTATODAY.COM.MT Get up to date on Malta's district map and where each party stands to gain or lose ELECTION 2017 Art of the U-turn James Debono on the importance of pulling out in politics 8 9 10 11
