Gzira managed to score the first goal on the 68th minute. Samba Tounkara beat goalkeeper Philip Schranz with a shot from the left thanks to an assist from Karl Pulo. On the 80th minute, off a cross from the right by Zack Scerri, Amadou Samb doubled Gzira's lead with a close-range header to beat goalkeeper Philip Schranz.
