42 Events maltatoday SUNDAY 14 JANUARY 2018 Frank Salt Real Estate reaches out ON the 16 and 17 December the Mosta branch of Frank Salt Real Estate went out to meet clients and potential clients to provide one to one consultation regard- ing the local property market. The venue was PAMA Village Mosta, and five members of the Frank Salt Mosta branch literal- ly met hundreds of people doing their Christmas shopping. People generally enquired about the state of the property market had a chat and a mince pie. Others placed their property on the market, others wanted to see property. The people in gen- eral, were really pleased that a local real estate company really wanted to be with them at this time of the year. Issues discussed were mainly property sales, but also ques- tions were asked about prop- erty taxes and property rentals. Frank Salt Property News was freely distributed to all who came to the stand. The Trophy will be in Malta for one day and an exclusive event will be taking place at is-Suq tal-Belt in Valletta, giving football fans the opportunity to feel the thrill of seeing the most prestig- ious award in the football universe up close and have their picture taken with it. The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola kicked off in September 2017 in Russia and will visit more than 50 countries across six continents, travelling 126,000 kilometers in the nine months lead- ing up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Within Russia, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will visit 25 cities – the longest host country tour in history – with one out of every three Russians having the op- portunity to experience the Trophy in person. FIFA World Cup original trophy visiting more than 50 countries Nexia BT appoints three new partners AS from January 2018, Nexia BT welcomes new partners to its board. Mark Bamber joins the team to lead the Advisory Services arm within the firm. Tim Dam- brauskas and Oliver Zammit, who previously held positions as direc- tors, are now partners within the firm's Tax and International Cli- ent Services unit . Mark Bamber joins Nexia BT following a twenty - year career at KPMG in Malta and overseas, where he has advised clients in both the public and private sec- tors . An experienced economist, with a long track record in man- agement and consultancy leader- ship roles in Malta and overseas, he also holds an MBA from Hen- ley Business School; an MSc in Fi- nancial Economics from the Lon- don School of Economics; and is currently developing his doctoral research on global FDI flows and their impact on macroeconomic parameters and the quality of life in islands and small states. Mark will take the lead on Nexia BT's advisory arm which offers a wide range of services including strate- gy and management consultancy; economics advisory services; and corporate services. Mark brings to the table a creative approach, strong problem - solving skills, and a commitment to cost - effec- tive client service, combined with a track record of business over three decades and a deep experi- ence of international business and international expansion. Tim Dambrauskas joined the firm in 2014 as Head of the Rus- sia, CIS and Baltics desk. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Sci- ence Degree in Economics (BSs Econ.) from the University of Lat- via in 2004, he then furthered his studies and successfully obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration from CIM (Cyprus Institute of Marketing). As a pro- ficient speaker of Latvian, English and Russian coupled with his ex- perience, Tim is a regular speak- er and delegate at international events, conferences and seminars on tax, immigration and wealth management. He has also penned a number of articles which have been featured in international pub- lications related to his areas of ex- pertise. In his position in relation to international business, Tim pro- vides international private clients with assistance and tailor - made solutions for their structures. His areas of specialisation are private tax planning, wealth structuring, as well as citizenship and residence planning. Oliver Zammit joined the firm in 2016 as director within the Tax and International Client Ser- vices Department. Prior to join- ing Nexia BT, he held the post of head of finance in a legal and corporate services firm, where he provided comprehensive advice to international clients focusing on corporate and tax services, remote gaming, residency and citizenship programmes. Oliver assists clients mainly with corpo- rate and tax structuring, gaming, Fintech, licensing of companies operating in regulated industries and immigration. Oliver is a Cer- tified Public Accountant, a fellow member of the Malta Institute of Accountants , a member of the Malta Institute of Taxation and an Accredited Agent under the Regulation of the Individual In- vestor Programme (IIP) granted by Identity Malta. He graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree in 2003 and a Masters in Financial Services in 2008, both from the University of Malta.
