45 Events maltatoday SUNDAY 8 APRIL 2018 Atlas staff attend talk on viral diseases AS part of the Atlas Wellness Pro- gramme, Atlas staff were invited to an information session on viral diseases, with a focus on chicken pox. The talk was given by Julian Mamo, Head of the Public Health Department and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. Mamo discussed incubation periods as well as preventive measures such as avail- able vaccines. With easier access to vaccines, diseases like rubella have been eradicated from Malta, and with time and education, chicken pox may follow the same route. "This talk forms part of a series of in- formation sessions on health issues and awareness which we organize for the ben- efit of our employees. Other talks held include topics like mental illness, breast health, weight loss, nutrition and smok- ing cessation. It gives everyone the oppor- tunity to learn and ask questions, as well as take steps to ensure their own wellbe- ing." said Jackie Attard Montalto, HR and Marketing Manager. "In fact these talks are always well received by staff, who find the information useful for themselves and their families." Attard Montalto also remarked that "Besides educational seminars we also of- fer our staff circuit training classes as well as a walking and running club, which is often used as training for the Malta Mar- athon." Bettina Azzopardi, Manag- ing Director of Main Street Shopping Complex com- mented, 'we're delighted that ten million customers have walked into Main Street since our opening. We're extremely excited to welcome more customers in the coming years'. The company has also ap- proved plans to invest in green energy as part of its efforts to a cleaner environment. This project will see Main Street getting most of its energy from solar power, while all common parts' lighting will be changed to energy-efficient ones. The company has also embarked on a project to separate all waste generated by shops and customers who visit Main Street. Main Street Shopping Complex offers a variety of local and international retail brands including Deben- hams, Pull & Bear, Acces- sorize, Flying Tiger Copen- hagen, Pimkie, Peacocks, Bottega Verde, Matrix and The Model Shop amongst others. There are up to four 12-volt charging points and five USB connections. The E-PACE's Active Drive- line all-wheel drive system is a technological first for Jaguar. The intelligent set-up combines phenomenal traction with Jag- uar's unmistakable rear-wheel- drive character. The system's torque-biasing capability deliv- ers optimal stability, dynamics and fuel efficiency in all condi- tions. The E-PACE features the very latest safety and driver assis- tance technologies. A stereo camera underpins the advanced Emergency Braking system, which also provides pedes- trian detection, and supports Lane Keep Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition, as well as the Adaptive Speed Limiter, and Driver Condition Monitor features. Front and Rear Park- ing Aids, including a rear view camera will be standard on every vehicle, providing peace of mind during difficult ma- noeuvres.
