Once again, this concert promises to bring about the true Italian spirit to our shores through some of Italy's all-time favourite songs. Joined by sing- ers Alex Schembri, Neville Re- falo, Georgina, Olivia Lewis and Nadia Vella, the Malta Concert Orchestra will be per- forming some of Italy's greatest hits. The concert on 11 August will start at 8:30pm. Tickets are available from www.pjazzate- atrurjal.com. JULY 30 – AUGUST 30 Rock'N Malta Rock'N Malta will feature various concerts throughout August. Featuring Gogol Bor- dello and Brodu on 30 July, Julian Marley and The Upsid- ers, as well as ManaTapu on 18 August, Dark Tranquility, Ev- ergrey, and Colourblind on 24 August, and Kaiser Chiefs and Bila on 30 August. Ticket infor- mation and purchase is availa- ble from the Rock'N Malta page on Facebook. MUSIC AND NIGHTLIFE AUGUST 14-15 Summer Daze Malta Summer Daze Malta will fea- ture three main events. Tues- day 14 will see two events. A free party at Ta'Qali featuring Martin Garrix, Rita Ora, Danny Howard, and more, and an af- ter party at Numero Uno. The festival will close with a sun- set pool party at Café Del Mar on Wednesday 15, with Roger Sanchez, Monki and Kristen Knight. Book your tickets on summerdazemalta.com AUGUST 14-16 Glitch Following two successful edi- tions, Glitch Festival is coming back on the 14-16 August with it's third and biggest edition to date. Electronic music enthusi- asts from all over the world are once again called to gather at the gates of the mystical House- and-Techno fortress for a sonic adventure on the sun-drenched Mediterranean island of Malta. From rooftop pool parties to secret ancient vaults, boat party mayhem and more! THEATRE SEPT 14 -23 Stitching The banned play, Stitch- ing, will finally be showing in Malta, at the Manoel Theatre next September. Anthony Neil- son's masterpiece dealing with loss will be shown after it was banned for many years, hosted by Unifaun Theatre Produc- tion. Tickets for the 18+ play can be found on the Teatru Ma- nuel Website at 20 euro. EVENINGS ON CAMPUS JULY 31 Malta Solar Cinema Solar Cinema is a mobile cine- ma from Holland which is cur- rently going around different countries. The cinema works with sun energy and is 100% auto sustainable without any electricity used in the process. During the night, a short film, Bon Voyage, by Fabio Friedli, will be shown. The short film will tackle the issue of immi- gration and migrants' lives in Europe. The event starts at 8pm. Entrance is free but they will be collecting donations for RIDT. FESTIVALS AUGUST 9-12 Delicata Classic Wine Festival The Delicata Classic Wine Festival is back for its 17th con- secutive edition. As always, the festival will be held at the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta, between the 9th and 12th of August. Entrance is free, with wine glasses and purses sold until 11pm and wine poured up to 11:30pm. Live cooking stalls will be serving a tempting variety of both traditional Mal- tese and international dishes to tease a wide range of palates. AUGUST 24 - 26 Malta Craft Beer Festival 2018 The first ever edition of the Malta Craft Beer Festival will take place in St Elmo on the 24, 25 and 26 of August 2018. With the best craft beer brands on the island, some of the fin- est street food you can find and the top alternative bands and DJs, this festival is set to be- come a fixed appointment in your summer calendar. Entrance is free and refreshments will be avail- able. IL-Hanina Maddalena Il-Hanina Maddalena is tipped to be the biggest spectacle this summer. The music by esteemed maestro Dominic Galea, penned by Simon Bartolo with lyrics by Loranne Vella featuring audience favourites Chiara, Amber, and Leontine in the lead roles. Directed by Josette Ciappara and from the same producers of Bal- zunetta Towers, this is ex- pected to be this summer's best seller. Get your tickets now! Reaching Society through Science This edition of Café Sci- entifique will discuss in- ternational research from the 'Reach High Schol- ars Programme' in which they'll talk about their work. Their work varies from medicine to engineer- ing, but all affect society in some way or other. Dr Joseph Vancell will be dis- cussing the research being done right now and how distance learning can help mature students. Dr Romi- na Briffa will also discuss cancer research. The event starts at 8pm. Entrance is free but they will be collect- ing donations for RIDT. Kinemastik International Short Film Festival #14 Kinemastik's annual short film festival has earned itself a place in the hearts of local filmgoers thanks to an inti- mate ambience that allows viewers to experience the full appeal of the short films selected. The event will take place at Garden of Rest, Flo- riana, Malta. UNTIL AUGUST 4 The Farsons Beer Festival The 38th edition of the Far- sons Beer Festival will be held from Thursday, 26th July to Saturday, 4th August 2018. The Farsons Beer Festival is one of Malta's hottest sum- mer celebrations. Running over 10 days, the outdoor fes- tival brings together the best local music, beer, and enter- tainment at Ta' Qali National Park. The festival is one of Malta's most awaited sum- mer annual events, drawing thousands of festival go- ers every night. Entrance is free.
