7 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 5 AUGUST 2018 TV, MUSIC AND BOOKS Ant-Man and The Wasp now in Cinemas Matthew James Borg – Lemonade Ant-man and The Wasp Ant-Man is back, and now Scott Lang, as he is known as a civilian, is under house arrest for the criminal transgression involved in the superhero activity he was up to in the film Captain America: Civil War. The Marvel movie borderlines on comedy, but ends with a twist in line with the last Avengers. Check the movie out in cinemas, and don't forget to watch all the post-credits. Like Father Netflix's "Like Father" is a generic melodrama starring two likable actors best known for their work on TV, about of a work-obsessed woman (Kristen Bell) who gets dumped at the altar and winds up taking the prepaid honeymoon cruise with her estranged father (Kelsey Grammer) instead of the man she planned to marry. Check the movie out on Netflix. Sicilian Ghost Story Sicilian Ghost Story, a movie by Sicilian film-makers Fabio Grassadonia and Antonio Piazza, is about a hitman's psycho- logical breakdown, set in the 90s. It's an intriguing and good- looking film, an award winner in the critics' week section at last year's Cannes, inspired by a grisly true-crime horror of modern Sicily. The movie, which is in Italian, can be seen on Netflix. Matthew James Borg – Lemonade Matthew James Borg is back in the music scene, with his new song, Lemonade. The fun, summery song is the second single from his new solo project. The song is about being yourself. The video features Matthew and his project mates in a car singing and enjoying themselves. Watch the video on YouTube. Manutapu - Tuna isimkom Local band Mistura have just released their first music video for a brand new song called "Tuna Isim- kom". This will be included in the band's new album due out later this year. Emphasizing on progressive rock, Mistura is one of few local bands embracing this genre of musical style in addition to singing exclusively in their native Maltese language. Astroworld – Travis Scott After two years of teasing, Travis Scott's third studio album Astroworld has arrived. The album features the likes of The Weeknd, James Blake, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer and even Drake. As one of the youngest raging rockstars to tap into the pulse of the youth, it's impossible to dispute how enormous the Houston-born rapper has become. Who Looks at the Sun Anymore?- Kenneth Wain Published by Horizons These collected poems cover a period of around sixteen years of the author's life when he was a dedicated poet. Kenneth Wain's work is characterised by a search for new forms, largely tactile. He sees each situation not only in what it can offer by way of content and comment, but also principally, as a sculptural form … If the world's and the individual's problems are to be properly understood, the poet seems to infer, then offer them to the eye as much as to the mind. Apart from published poems this volume includes a large number of unpublished poems which are seeing daylight for the first time after years in the poet's desk drawer. These include all the concrete poems and the last poem he wrote in this period; 'A View of Apocalypse'. Also included in this volume are prose poems which Wain began writing earlier, in the late 1960s, earlier than the concrete poems, of which the 'Lina Cycle', finished in 1973, was the first. Treasures of Malta: Summer 2018, No.72, Vol. XXIV No. 3 Treasures of Malta is a magazine of art and culture that is issued three times a year. The first issue, which was published in 1994, is out of print, and has already become a collector's item commanding more than fifty times its original retail price at auction. Not That Bad: Dispatches from Rape Culture edited by Roxane Gay Renowned feminist author Gay collects a profoundly personal anthology of essays reflecting on the pervasiveness of sexual harassment and abuse, with contributors in- cluding Gabrielle Union, Ally Sheedy, and Michelle Chen, and Samhita Mukhopadhyay.
