16 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 16 SEPTEMBER 2018 COMMERCIAL IBB Hotel Ingelheim honoured with Best of Wine Tourism Award THE IBB Hotel Ingelheim is the winner of the "Best of Wine Tourism Award". The coveted prize was awarded to the four- star establishment situated in the heart of Ingelheim by the international network "Great Wine Capitals". IBB Hotel Ingelheim forms part of the IBB Hotel Collection, a company of the Von der Heyden Group, based in Valletta. The IBB Hotel Collection currently operates 13 hotels in Germany, Malta, Poland and Spain. This special honour for Mainz and Rheinhessen regions in the "Accommodations" category was awarded to the IBB Hotel Ingelheim following its opening for business in the Rheinhessen wine metropolis in June 2017. The prize is awarded annually by international network Great Wine Capitals to companies that are particularly outstanding in their respective region for wine tourism. A nine-member jury of Great Wine Capital Mainz/Rheinhes- sen chose the winners in seven categories – from fine food and wines to sustainability, art and culture. The regional wine ex- perts and municipal dignitaries looked for outstanding achieve- ments in the tourism sector. In the "Accommodations" category, the IBB Hotel Ingelheim out- shone its competitors, taking first place. The jury considered it worthy of an award that a "hotel group operating throughout Europe is aligning its facilities and servic- es entirely with the region". The interior design of the 109-room hotel reflects the Rheinhessen wine region: natural materi- als are mingled with images and stylistic elements from the world of wine. Offerings such as wine events with partner winer- ies in their in-house restaurant and excursions to the vineyards by vintage bus also include a top-class selection of regional wines. "It is a great honour that our IBB Hotel Ingelheim has been awarded this prestigious inter- national prize. It is the perfect tribute to the creative, success- ful wine tourism activities of our Ingelheim team, led by General Manager Michael Werner," says IBB Hotel Collection Managing Director Vladimir Saal enthusi- astically. The modern hotel in the centre of the historic city of Ingelheim am Rhein is one of the individual city hotels in the fast-growing IBB Hotel Collection. Strategi- cally located just outside the Mainz/Wiesbaden/Frankfurt and Rhine-Main metropolitan regions, the hotel features con- ference facilities. Its guests in- clude business travellers and pri- vate visitors from Germany and abroad. Through its immediate proximity to the kING Culture and Congress Hall and the In- gelheim iCC Conference Centre, the hotel has established itself as an important hub for events in the region after just one year. Delivered and delicious Domino's THE world-renowned specialist in pizza delivery has its popular- ity growing year by year. Domi- no's has become a widely belov- ed international brand for pizza lovers across six continents in which it holds a presence. Origi- nating from its humble Ameri- can roots, Domino's through its consistency of quality, usage of only the best ingredients and its fast delivery has developed a strong brand promise. All this in combination with innovation and technology which today makes it so much easier to order and to track your delivery. The American franchise started back in 1960s by the two Monagham brothers when they purchased a store named 'DomiNicks' pizza in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In the following years the business was renamed to 'Domino's Pizza', and due to its rising popularity with the locals, additional store openings were made across the state. In the early 80s Domino's Pizza opened their first store on the Australian continent in Queensland, and by the end of the 80s the com- pany boasted over 5,000 stores around the world. Over the next years, Domi- no's invested into improving technology, adding new items to their menu, and continuing their strong presence at both international and local markets. It's fair to say that by this time Domino's had become an in- credibly popular global brand, everyone was taking notice and wanted to get their hands on a delicious slice. Domino's focus on its grow- ing brand is only exceeded by company's desire to be the dis- tinguished leaders in delivery. Through innovative technology like the 'Domino's Pizza Track- er', where customers can follow the creation of their pizza step by step, and other offers and deals over the years, the compa- ny has always ensured that the delivery time is of the upmost importance and that informa- tion is always readily available to their customers. With their quality known all around the world, it was only a matter of time till Domino's hit the Maltese Islands. Already celebrating their first success- ful year of delivering delicious pizzas, Domino's has quickly become a favorite for locals and foreigners alike.
