Exquisite Corpse- I loved you more Maree Azzopardi's new works continue the artist's ongoing engagement with themes of the human body, religious symbolism, and the polarities of earth and wa- ter. Her photographs act as memorials for the people or places they remember and record. They include per- sonal memories and fam- ily narrative and the works explore themes of loss, re- trieval, commemoration and bearing witness. For the first time, the artist has printed photographs onto linen. These works harness the symbolic power of linen in Catholic ritual and iconog- raphy, especially altar cloths and the practice of shroud- ing the dead. The exhibition can be seen at Spazju Kreat- tiv Thursday between 25th April – Sunday 2nd June 2019. Scale Model exhibition SmartCity Malta will be hosting a scale model ex- hibition this weekend – 1st and 2nd June 2019 – titled "Scale Model Island", fea- turing models ranging from military vehicles to aviation, ground vehicles, marine ve- hicles, remote controlled models and others.
