At Casa Antonia, we strongly believe in providing residents with stimulating activities and a well thought activity program designed to focus on the health of residents' body, mind and spirit. Activities here are not just about bingo or watching television, but they also include social activities, stimulating and creative craft sessions as well as physical activities to provide entertainment and promote manual dexterity whilst giving our residents that sense of accomplishment and purpose that can be very beneficial to their state of mind. These activities not only contribute to a healthy lifestyle, but most importantly lead to enriching friendships and true happiness. NURSING & RESIDENTIAL HOME ACTIVITIES FOR A FUN, FRIENDLY AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AS families prepare for the festive sea- son, Casa Antonia Residential and Nurs- ing Home in Balzan leaves no stone un- turned in preparing those cherished and much-loved Christmas traditions for its residents. The home has been lovingly decorated with a dash of festive cheer everywhere one looks. These include the beautiful crib and the Christmas tree, with gar- lands and fairy lights to further brighten the festive atmosphere. Throughout De- cember until Epiphany on 6th January, the programme is packed with seasonal events and shows. The merry season started with cake bak- ing and decorating. Some residents in the company of a group of young teens, and under the guidance of Casa Antonia's Co- ordinator Claire Busuttil, had a great time making cake decorations for a Christmas Cake competition organised by the Secre- tariat for the elderly. In this competition Casa Antonia came first in the Christmas Log category and had four of its cakes shortlisted among the final 10 Christmas Cakes. Carol singers, school choirs, ballet and dance schools together with musicians are entertaining the residents with their festive repertoire. Father Christmas will also bring his Christmas cheer along with Balzan's Maria Annunziata Band. Special outings are also featuring on the programme of Christmas activities as well as parties for residents and their guests. "Like most families, traditional Christ- mas time is a celebratory period at our home," said Casa Antonia Gen- eral Manager Sarah Cassar. "Residents share their unforgetable memories with affection this time of the year. We do our very best to make Christmas time more special, joyful, and another one to remember." Casa Antonia Nursing and Residential Home is a distinguished yet affordable home for the elderly. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in Balzan and overlooks the President's majestic gardens of San Anton. The home offers a superb loca- tion, where privacy and tranquility are guaranteed.
