maltatoday | SUNDAY • 5 JANUARY 2020 21 COMMERCIAL 17 Malta Philharmonic Orchestra entertains residents of Id-Dar tal-Providenza ON Friday 20 December, the Central Bank of Malta in collaboration with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra organised a Christmas Concert for the residents of Id-Dar tal-Providen- za in Siġġiewi. Among those present for the Con- cert were Mario Vella, Central Bank Governor and Mrs Victoria Vella, Mro. Sigmund Mifsud, Executive Chairman of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and Fr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza. During this special event, Fr Martin Micallef on behalf of the residents thanked the Governor for choosing to organise this concert at Id-Dar tal- Providenza as part of the Bank's CSR initiatives. The Bank has been one of the Or- chestra's corporate sponsors since 2017, and the concert was held as one of its outreach events. He noted that the Central Bank of Malta has always supported Id-Dar tal-Providenza throughout the years through various initiatives for which it is very greatful. At the end of his address Fr Martin presented a memento to the Gover- nor. THE Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) has just launched a Master of Arts in Heritage Interpre- tation. This is the ITS' second MQF level 7 pro- gramme, following the launch of the MBA in International Hospitality Management early on this year. The MA in Heritage Interpretation aims at offering the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies on Heritage Interpretation (HI) both at local and international level. This programme offers tailor-made learning to those who already work within the Culture and Heritage Tourism industry but also to those who aspire to specialise in the interpre- tation of specific sites and artefacts. The course carries four semesters and will be held on a part-time evening basis. Applications for both the MBA in Interna- tional Hospitality Management and the MA in Heritage Interpretation are now open for the cohort starting in February 2020.
