Now, humans will enter the grizzly's own turf in Bear Mountain, Utah, to take on these powerful beasts in a competition unlike any other. In each thrilling episode, America's most accomplished and elite athletes will go head to head in a set of challenges that test the limits of human strength, speed, agility and stamina – all against the primal instinct and power of bears. Who will win the ultimate battle for land supremacy and prove their superhuman courage and muscle in this competition of man vs bear? MONDAY Phantoms (1998) [Film] 9:20pm on AMC Channel (Channel 312) Phantoms is a 1998 Ameri- can science fiction horror film adapted from Dean Koontz's 1983 novel of the same name. Directed by Joe Chappelle with a screenplay by Koontz, the film stars Peter O'Toole, Rose McGowan, Joanna Going, Liev Schreiber, Ben Affleck, Nicky Katt and Clifton Powell. The film takes place in the peaceful town of Snowfield, Colorado, where something evil has wiped out the community. It is up to a group of people to stop it or at least get out of Snowfield alive. While Koontz's novel included many literary tips of the hat to the work of H.P. Lovecraft, these are largely excised from the film. Phantoms was filmed on loca- tion in Georgetown, Colorado. TUESDAY Single Parents – Season 2 [Comedy Series] 8:25pm on FOX Life (Channel 304) This comedy follows a hodge- podge of dysfunctional adults who are struggling to navigate the challenges of being a parent, which are elevated by the fact that they are all single. In the midst of PTA meetings, PB&J sandwiches and play dates, the adults must lean on each other to help raise their young kids, who have big personalities and obstacles of their own, and maintain some sem- blance of personal lives outside of parenthood. The series ran for six seasons from March 6, 2010 to January 29, 2015. WEDNESDAY MOM S4 Ep.11: "Good Karma and Big Weird" [Comedy Series] 11pm pm Melita More (Channel 315) Christy meets a handsome man named Nick Banaszak (Chris Pratt) outside the ladies' diner, and learns that he is Marjorie's nephew. Despite Marjorie forbid- ding any of the women to date Nick, Christy pursues him and later regrets it. THURSDAY My Brilliant Friend S1 Ep.7: "The Fiancès" [Drama Series] 9pm on Melita More (Channel 315) Elena returns to Naples and finds out that Lila is romantically involved with Stefano, despite Marcello's advances. While Lila embraces that luxurious lifestyle Elena decides to reciprocate ro- mantic advances. The series is a co-production between American premium cable network HBO and Italian networks RAI and TIMvi- sion. FRIDAY Through the Wormhole… "How to Collapse a Superpower" [Documentary] 9pm on Discovery Science (Channel 402) With a little imagination, could a few terrorists sabotage a mighty nation? Perhaps even tear down modern civilization? The stabil- ity of the US, Europe, China, or any global power depends on high-speed digital communica- tion. Our increasing dependence on digital devices and global interactivity may be placing us in grave danger. Scientists around the world are dealing with new threats such as body hacking, Trojan horse viruses, and brain- damaging Internet addiction. But what if the ultimate threat isn't an attack on technology, but the technology? But when a psychic informs her that her son's death was caused by a woman, Beverly begins researching the lives of other women who'd taken lives.
