11 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 16 AUGUST 2020 COMMERCIAL More BOV Branches to re-open for customers BANK of Valletta will be reopen- ing another 4 branches located at Fgura, Fleur de Lys, Ħamrun and Mellieħa, bringing the total number of open branches and agencies to 39 as from 17 Au- gust. These BOV Branches will be open from Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm. Cheque encashment and cash withdrawals are accepted until noon as per normal pre-COV- ID schedule. On Saturdays, the branches will not offer cashier service but will be open from 8.30 am until 12.30 pm for oth- er services such as home loans, personal loans, opening of ac- counts, investments, applica- tions for debit and credit cards, internet and mobile banking. To avoid waiting in queues, customers can set up an ap- pointment for non-cashiering branch services by sending an email to info@bov.com with the type of service required, mobile number, ID Card num- ber and preferred branch or by calling on +356 2131 2020. Furthermore the ATM at Ħamrun Branch has been up- graded to an Advanced ATM for more convenient banking. Through such ATMs cus- tomers can deposit cash and cheques directly into their ac- count. Customers can avoid waiting in queues by using BOV digital channels such as ATMs, BOV Cards, BOV Pay, BOV Mobile and Internet Banking for cheaper, secure and safe banking. Bank of Val- letta has 97 ATMs across Malta and Gozo, 44 of which are Ad- vanced ATMs offering a wide range of cash services. Connecting 400+ staff mem- bers working at Head Office, Branches, offsite and from home, in the case of employees working remotely, was quite an experience. A professional studio was set up at Head Of- fice from where the session was streamed. CEO Marcel Cassar intro- duced the event speaking about the effect of the pandemic on the Bank while commending the dedication and engagement shown by all staff members. He also highlighted the Bank's deep commitment to support- ing staff, their families as well as the full spectrum of clients experiencing these uncertain and anxious times. A number of presentations then followed, ranging from a review of the half year re- sults, an update on the latest Peakon staff survey, network transformation and facilities as well upcoming marketing and product campaigns.
