Pietà are gaining momentum as they have won two of their last three matches while Zebbug have now gone nine games without a win. Zebbug were unlucky not to take the lead just after five minutes of play. Off a corner by Matthew Gauci, Yessous Camilleri hit the woodwork with a header. In the 26th minute, a header by Pi- eta's Rafael Xavier Zacarias went just wide off a cross by Jurgen Pisani. In the 61st minute, Maurico Britto had his powerful shot saved by goal- keeper David Cassar. Zebbug protested for a penalty in the 64th minute, when Carlo Gordon Monti fell under the challenge from Rafael Rodriguez da Silva but the ref- eree waved play on. In the 66th minute, Zebbug were to regret all their missed chances when off a cross by Rafael Xavier, Jurgen Pis- ani beat goalkeeper Fabrizio Rapchan dos Santos Morales from close range. Zebbug almost scored the equalizer in the 84th minute, when off a cross by Mathias Mucchardi, Bojan Mamic's header was deflected by goalkeeper David Cassar. This victory was a breath of fresh air for Floriana as their last four matches were without victory. As for Mosta this was their fourth consecutive defeat. Mosta took the lead in the 21st minute when off a freekick by Pedro Calcado, Sasa Jovanovic headed the ball past goalkeeper Valerio Senatore. Mosta remained the dominant side as they doubled their lead in the 33rd minute, with Manolito Micallef beating goalkeeper Vale- rio Senatore from close range to make the score 2-0. Floriana came back to life in the second half as they managed to reduce Mosta's lead just after two minutes of play. Off a cross by Mat- teo Piciollo, Vito Plut headed the ball past goalkeeper Omar Borg. Floriana started to gain momen- tum and on the 52nd minute they scored the equaliser. Vito Plut made his way into the area, then past the goalkeeper to score from close range. Mosta's Daniel Mariano Bueno was unlucky to hit the crossbar in the 69th minute. The match turned for the worse for Mosta when in the 71st minute Ryan Grech was sent off for a late tackle on Conor Borg. Floriana scored the goal that was to give them all three points in the 74th minute, when a freekick by Steve Pisani was not held by goal- keeper Omar Borg and off the re- bound, Vito Plut made no mistake to score his third of the match.
