The chosen theme – Frammenti / Fragments – reflects the differences between the artists themselves and their artistic work. If we observe ourselves and our surroundings, we soon realise that everything could be interpreted as made of many fragments which are combined together. UNTIL JUNE 21 New Weapons Collective exhibition at Blitz, St Lucy Street, Valletta. Featuring work by Aava Anttinen, Rachel Channa Kremer, Zhanna Bobrakova, Sarah Crew, Bonamy Devas, Valerie Driscoll, Helena Goñi, Benjamin Knight, Albena Martinova, Laura Marques, Hana Vojackova, Dario Srbic, Parvaneh Rahimi, Dana Strango, Hengxi Li, Trilokjit Sengupta and Mengjiao Yu. The exhibition is a collaboration between BLITZ and Central Saint Martins University of the Arts London. UNTIL JUNE 26 Her Majesty Visual art exhibition by Pawlu Mizzi at Akkademja Kulturali Pawlina, Valletta. Curated by Simon Sultana Harkins. UNTIL JULY 1 axra A collective exhibition organized by the M.F.A. in Digital Arts students at St James Cavalier, Valletta. Featuring work by George Abdilla, Andrew Aquilina, Therese Debono, Patrick J. Fenech, Matyou Galea, Jennifer Mallia, Sarah Mifsud, Amanda Muscat, Joe Smith and Jean Marc Zerafa. UNTIL JULY 29 KATZE – The keepers of the in- between Site-specific intervention by Adrian Abela at Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Valletta. Also featuring Opera performances as sound interventions – on July 4, 17 and 25 from 20:30 to 23:00. Entrance is free. WHAT'S ON WHAT'S ON TODAY Religious feasts The feasts of St Philip (Zebbug), The Sacred Heart of Jesus (Fontana, Gozo) and Our Lady of the Lilly (Mqabba) will be celebrated today. Breeding Birds Birthday Bird-spotting outing organised by the Ghadira Nature Reserve from 09:00 to 11:00. Celebrating this year's breeding birds. Visitors will get the chance to see Sardinian Warblers, Cetti's Warblers, Little Ringed Plovers, Black- winged Stilts and all their little chicks. In Guardia Parade Historical re-enactment at Fort St Elmo, Valletta from 11:00. During the re-enactment, of the fort's garrison – some 55 re-enactors in all – are kitted-out in their uniforms to perform their military drill to demonstrate to the Grand Bailiff its state of readiness. Tickets are at €7 (adults) and €3 (children). The Sugar and SPYS Charity Gig Charity concert in aid of India and Kenya at Razzett l-Ahmar, Durumblat Street, Mosta from 17:30. Featuring Kurt Calleja, Strum Taco, Mistura, Musique, Forty Days of Rain and Paradox. Entrance is against a minimum donation of €5 at the door. Ghanafest 2015 Annual festival of Maltese folk song and Mediterranean music. Featuring acts from Malta, the Mediterranean, Africa and India.
