St Andrews still have not collected any points so long this season and sit at the bottom of the BOV Premier League table. Floriana took the lead on the 32nd minute when, off a cross by Nicolas Chiesa, Mauricio Villa easily shot the ball past goal- keeper Dorian Bugeja. Floriana continued to progress in the second half when they doubled their lead on the 53rd minute. Christopher Edafe Uzeh def lected a cross by Steve Pisani past his own goalkeeper to make the score 2-0. Floriana continued to dominate as three minutes later they made it 3-0. Mauricio Villa served Matteo Picciollo who then made his way into the box to beat goal- keeper Bugeja with his shot. On the 58th minute the fourth goal arrived thanks to Villa who scored from a precise pass by Mario Fontanella. On the 83rd minute, Floriana were awarded a penalty after Fontanella was brought down inside the area by the goalkeep- er. From the penalty spot Mario Fontanella converted to make the final score 5-0. In the other match, Tarxien Rainbows are back to winning ways after they defeated Naxxar Lions 4-0. Tarxien were the dominant side from the start and created many chances in front of goal, but goalkeeper Luke Pecorella was in great form to keep the ball out of the net. On the 65th minute, the match took a turn for the worse for Naxxar as Jose Angel Godar Pereira was sent off when he re- ceived his second yellow card. From the resulting freekick by Ayrton Azzopardi, Bruno de Ol- iveira headed the ball past goal- keeper Luke Pecorella to give Tarxien the lead. Tarxien were now full of con- fidence and on the 71st minute they doubled their lead. A pow- erful shot from just outside the area left no chance for Naxxar's goalkeeper. Tarxien scored their third on the 76th minute when Mon- tebello served Alex Da Paixao Alves who scored without any difficulty. On the 81st minute, Tarxien made sure they collected all three points when Luke Mon- tebello's low shot made its way into goal to make the final score 4-0.
