Through the pairing up of an art installation and live performance, artist and globe- trotter, Sandra Gea, explores and questions her own identity from the insights gained from experiencing the cultures and languages that form part of her journey - physical, personal and spiritual. As an extension of her installation, Sandra Gea will be providing two-hour workshops in which the participants will be encouraged to explore the many facets of their own identity in order to unravel the fundamental question of 'Who Am I?' JANUARY 16-30 Valletta International Baroque Festival Annual festival of baroque music around various venues in Valletta, featuring local and international performers. The Valletta International Baroque Festival has been conceived purposely as a celebration of this baroque identity of Valletta. JANUARY 17 Trackage Scheme presents 'Sacred Noise' Following the huge success of our Rooftop Live Sessions last Summer, Trackage Scheme is back with its winter edition. JANUARY 23 The Creepers @ Django The American Vintage Blues band The Creepers will perform at Django Jazz Bar, Republic Street, Valletta at 22:00. Noir Jazz Project is made up of Kris Spiteri on the piano, Edward Ellul on bass and Alex Debono on drums. EXHIBITIONS UNTIL FEBRUARY 14 Watches Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum in collaboration with Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti is continuing with its series of WHAT'S ON WHAT'S ON TODAY National Photographic Competition and Exhibition – 50th Edition Marking the Malta Photo- graphic Society's 50th anni- versary, Space A at St James Cavalier welcomes the work of competitors in a collective exhibition of colour, mono- chrome and projected works, judged by a panel of top local and foreign photographers earlier in the year. The Great Russian Nutcracker Performance of the classic ballet at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta at 16:00. Featuring artists from 'The Crown of Russian Ballet' of Moscow with solo- ists from Bolshoi Theatre. The Great Russian Nutcracker Ballet is a part of the Festival 'Russian Christmas', which will be held in Malta between January 6-17 January. The fes- tival is organised by Russian- Maltese Cultural Association in collaboration with other Russian diaspora organiza- tions and dedicated to the celebration of the Russian Or- thodox Christmas.
