Over 220,000 passengers have flown Emirates' two-class A380 MORE than 220,000 passengers have flown the two-class A380 on over 450 flights since it first en- tered service in December 2015. The Emirates' two class con- figured A380 features 58 flatbed seats in Business Class and 557 spacious seats in Economy Class, as well as Emirates' popu- lar Onboard Lounge. The newest ver- sion of the E m i r a t e s ' A380 fea- tures the widest in- d i v i d u a l i n - s e a t Economy C l a s s screens in the indus- try, measur- ing in at 13.3 inches, offering over 2,200 chan- nels of entertainment on ice. Currently, the two-class con- figured A380 flies to four desti- nations which are Copenhagen, Bangkok, Manchester and Kuala Lumpur. The airline's 74th A380 has just been added to the fleet. The return flight will fly direct from Malta to Dubai. IT tower, has been inaugurated in a spectacular function attended by dignitaries from UAE and Kerala. Phase 2 was also launched simul- taneously. Kerala's dream project was dedicated to the nation jointly by Oommen Chandy, Hon'ble Chief Minister; H. E. Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Af- fairs, UAE and Chairman of Dubai Holding; Rajiv Prathap Rudy, Un- ion Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship; H. E. Ahmad Bin Byat, Vice Chairman and MD, Dubai Holding; P. K. Kunhalikutty, Hon'ble Minister for Industries & IT and Chairman, SmartCity Kochi; Dr Ahmed Al Banna, UAE Am- bassador to India; M. A. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the days of sending the youths of Kerala away abroad and to other parts of the country in search of a job is over. Now the world will come to Kerala, he said amidst applause from the audience. "We can't ask our youth to go somewhere and earn a living anymore. We have to use their skills in the development of this state," he said. "SmartCity Kochi is not just an IT project; it's a symbol of the tra- ditional relationship between the UAE and Kerala. On its full comple- tion, SmartCity Kochi would be the largest IT hub in the country," the Chief Minister said. He further said the SmartCity Kochi is a project that instills confidence for the future en- deavours of Kerala. Mohammed Al Gergawi, Min- ister of Cabinet Affairs, UAE and Chairman of Dubai Holding said, SmartCity Kochi was a milestone project for UAE and Dubai Hold- ings. It is a great leap in the relation- ship between Kerala and the UAE. Development in the IT sector would enhance the development in the healthcare, education and the over- all sectors, he said. Rajiv Prathap Rudy, Union Min- ister, said with the commissioning of the SmartCity, Kerala which has been the skill capital for the world would now excel in the IT sector as well. P. K. SmartCity Kochi and SmartCity Malta forms part of a network of in- terconnected business communities across the world. These communi- ties are developed and managed by SmartCity, the international invest- ment arm of Dubai Holding, which seeks to internationally expand the astounding success of integrated communities and social infrastruc- ture attained in Dubai.
