APRIL 25 Violinist Charlie Siem with pianist Julian Dyson World renowned violinist Charlie Siem returns to the Manoel Theatre, Valletta for a recital accompanied by pia- nist Julian Dyson at 20:00. APRIL 22-24 Opera+ Weekend OPERA Weekend rounds up Gaulitana - A Festival of Music, which runs from Easter Sunday 27 March till the 24 April 2016, featuring a full programme of events in various genres and styles at the Aurora Opera House, Victoria, Gozo at 19:30. The highight of the weekend and of the entire festival will be the full-scale production of Rossini 's masterpiece, the opera buffa Il Barbiere di Siviglia, at the Teatru tal-Opra Aurora on April 23. The OPERA Weekend com- mences on Friday with a solo pi- ano recital by Michael Laus. The Gaudos Violin Duo feature in a lunchtime Wine & Music event at Vini e Capricci on Saturday. Il Barbiere will be preceded by a pre-opera talk at the Aurora Theatre. The Tortorelli-Meluso Duo present a Sunday lunchtime recital, followed by an even- ing concert by soprano Miriam Cauchi accompanied by a string quintet. Colour Fest For the second year run- ning, Valletta Waterfront will bloom with colour, music and entertainment for the annual spring festival – Colour Fest. The iconic coloured doors have been the inspiration for this event, which together with the historic Grand Harbour serve as a backdrop to a fun-packed weekend for the whole fam- ily.
