PUBLIC LECTURE MARCH 16 Emvin Cremona: Dnub il- Mejjet and Abstraction Public talk about the iconic Maltese artist Emvin Cremona at Splendid, Strait Street, Valletta at 14:00 by Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci and research student Nikki Petroni. Emvin Cremona is one of Malta's most enigmatic modern artists. His reputation as a prolific church painter contrasts with the production of his pioneering abstract works. This problematic aspect of Cremona's oeuvre and the politics embedded in his artistic choices will be openly debated.
