Melita is unveiling a refreshed brand identity and values which will guide the company on a jour- ney towards the future of commu- nication, with all its customers. This change in identity follows a series of other changes, all hav- ing the same objective, to better serve Melita customers. A num- ber of service improvements have already been implemented to im- prove customer care and experi- ence and more efforts are under- way to improve even further. Melita has raised the bar for its customer service by introducing four customer service promises: • Melita has the short- est call waiting times in Malta to reach its customer care centre by telephone with an average of 30 seconds in the last six months • Melita is the only opera- tor to publish its call centre wait- ing times online • Melita Flexi is the first "Build Your Own" bundle in Mal- ta giving customers full control to choose what is important for them • New internet modems are being supplied to homes and offices to provide a better WiFi experience • Melita NexTV, a new TV service with advanced features, is now available with Flexi. Subscribers can watch programmes they missed in the past week, or restart a programme from the beginning on TV, computer, tablet or smartphone "We're not just changing our skin. Over the past months, we have worked very hard to improve the service and experience we provide to our customers. Some results, like our call centre waiting time, are already amongst the best in Malta. There will be more news in the next weeks about how Mel- ita is transforming itself into Mal- ta's best telecom provider both for product and customer experience. At the same time, we look for- ward to our potential merger with Vodafone," Melita Chief Executive Officer Harald Roesch said. The new Melita is a forward- thinking brand, ready to bring the future to Malta. Training pro- grammes are underway to align all staff members to the new brand values in line with the objective of becoming the most approach- able telecom company in Malta and better listeners. Honesty is key and Melita is working hard to deliver a customer experience that is second to none and as pleasant as possible. Melita gets a brand refresh Spring clean your waste the right way With summer just around the corner, many are busy cleaning up their neglected gardens, yards and giving a lift to dark shabby corners of their houses with a dab of paint and some DIY home works. The promise of summer seems to act like a sign to clean up house and home and get ready for a more outdoor lifestyle. So what hap- pens when the works are done and extensive spring cleaning has left you with a mound of waste that doesn't go into the green/grey bags or bring-in sites? While the bring-in sites provide disposal measures for paper, glass, metal and plastic, waste from DIY home works, expired medicines or electronics which have reached the end of their lifespan should be disposed of in one of the six civic amenity sites around Malta and Gozo. The civic amenity sites es- sentially provide a place for the safe disposal of bulky household waste, domestic hazardous waste and recyclable materials. Ap- pliances, electronics, furniture, waste from DIY activities, gar- den waste, cloths, waste oils and household hazardous waste such as solvents, neon tubes and paints, can all be taken to civic amenity sites for safe disposal and at no cost to the public. In this way, waste which should not end up in a landfill is redirect- ed and recovered for exportation and recycling. It also means that you don't need to depend on any- one to pick up your waste for you. According to the National Statis- tic office, use of the civic amenity sites rose by 11% in 2015, clearly confirming that the public does in fact already use these services. Interestingly, white goods and electronics are the most common- ly received goods at these civic amenity sites.
