In a first- time collaboration with Cuban guitarist Ahmed Dickinson Cardenas, this performance is a delightful, passionate, exciting journey from baroque music, gradually evolving into contemporary Cuban music through the music of Bach, Paganini, Bartók, De Falls, Piazzolla, and contemporary Cuban composer Eduardo Martin, with whom Dickinson often plays himself. This project challenges space through moving structures. With Big Band Brothers (directed by Daniel Cauchi) and the design commissioned from dandDLab architecture design laboratory, you will hear the fusion of big band with electro swing through Malta's characterful sounds. KUBU is a collaboration project between Daniel Cauchi and dandDlab design laboratory, and performed by the Big Band Brothers. This is a five-week period of uninterrupted musical and cultural activity that is attracting tourists and music-lovers who visit Gozo specifically for the Festival.
