45 Events maltatoday SUNDAY 29 APRIL 2018 Coco Mademoiselle EDP intense Naturally excessive In 2001 the dawn of an unex- pected formula started an un- predictable olfactory movement. A two-tiered composition that blends the freshness of citrus with the sensual wave of sophis- ticated patchouli. A new-genera- tion wood that has been dusted off, fractionated, pared down to leave nothing but the thrill of its heart on the skin. Created for re- bellious personalities with a taste for elegance, Coco Mademoiselle launched a new form of seduc- tion. In 2018 Coco Mademoiselle is reclaiming its territory. Re- maining true to its oriental ori- gins, Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense is for all those who wholeheartedly embrace their folly, their passion and their excessiveness with an open smile. A captivating fragrance that makes a strong impact, with no intention of being forgotten. A creation for women who al- ways want more... Dual Personality Like Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum that wavers between its seeming frivolity and a strong character, between the freshness of citrus peel and the ardent blaze of wood, Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intenseturns this play of seduction up a notch. "I want- ed to remain close to the original formula, while giving it a whole new dimension," explains Olivier Polge, Perfumer-Creator for the House of Chanel. "I wanted to increase the proportions of frac- tionated patchouli. Push it to the limit. Unleash its power on the skin without altering the fresh- ness of the top notes." One can thus identif y the Si- cilian orange and Calabrian bergamot, as well as the fruity accent that distinguishes Coco Mademoiselle. But within a few minutes, the Indonesian patchouli takes root and winds itself around the heart of rose and jasmine. To create an even more magnetic and enduring fragrance, perfumer Olivier Polge combined a higher pro- portion of patchouli leaves with an ambery accord composed of Tonka bean and Madagascar va- nilla absolutes. A subtle way of adding depth to the contours of patchouli and rendering Coco Mademoiselle more addictive than ever. Showing all sides of Keira The face of Coco Mademoi- selle for the past 10 years, Brit- ish actress Keira Knightley has reprised her mischievous role as she plays an irresistibly carefree game of seduction in the new advertising film. The campaign reveals a new personality trait of the temptress; a new lesson in se- duction that encourages embrac- ing life and all its adventures. Express Trailers promotes road safety EXPRESS Trailers this week promoted road safety during the official launch in collabora- tion with Transport Malta and the Malta Road Safety Council. The Chairman and CEO of Express Trailers, Franco Azzo- pardi, said that the company wished to promote more re- sponsible road sharing. "Unfortunate fatalities on the road are becoming too much of a regular occurrence. With the increasing population and in- creased traffic, unless we start tackling safety more aggressive- ly, the situation is not bound to improve. This is what has been pushing us as a company to ad- vocate for more safety on our roads," Azzopardi said. A few years ago, Express Trail- ers started looking at ways how it could become an example to others by underlining a positive contribution to society in a di- rect way. Franco said they felt that the utmost attention had to be re-directed towards the more vulnerable road users namely pedestrians, motorcyclists, cy- clists and particularly, the in- creasing number of athletes who are using the road to train and compete. The company wanted to do more because they believe that safety on the road should be a top priority for everyone, es- pecially drivers who are being called to drive responsibly and protect the more vulnerable road users. "On the road, everyone is re- sponsible, and therefore we are committing ourselves, through our team of drivers, to advocate more actively in favour of road safety on Malta's roads. Our dedicated drivers own this ini- tiative and pledge their dedica- tion to be an example to all road users." Together, the campaign will seek to encourage road users to ref lect on their habits, to under- stand that roads are a shared resource, that using the road is borrowing space, that other road users have the same equal rights as themselves, and that all this should increase toler- ance for each other. "Personally, I feel that as a company, Express Trailers has justly acquired an entitled re- sponsibility to act as a f lagbear- er for this very important cause because we have always been highly committed to safety. After sixty years of operations and solid growth, the company enjoys a very positive track re- cord and widespread respect as a responsible employer and road user." HRH The Prince of Wales attends Prince's Trust International reception for Heads of Commonwealth HIS Royal Highness The Prince of Wales met with Heads of Gov- ernment and Heads of State from across the Commonwealth at a Prince's Trust International recep- tion held at St James' Palace. Also in attendance were The Hon Evarist Bartolo, Minister for Education and Employment in Malta, and Andrew Beane, CEO of HSBC Malta. The event welcomed representa- tives from across the Common- wealth, who heard from: HRH The Prince of Wales, and Lloyd Dorfman CBE, Chairman of The Prince's Trust and Prince's Trust International about how Prince's Trust International is working with a range of delivery partners to sup- port young people around the world into sustainable employment, edu- cation or training. Prince's Trust International works in partnership with governments and agencies to deliver the proven youth programmes of its sister char- ity, The Prince's Trust, which for over 40 years has helped more than 870,000 young people to transform their lives in the UK. Prince's Trust International was launched by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2015 at the Commonwealth Heads of Govern- ment Meeting in Malta. Prince's Trust International is cur- rently working with local strategic and delivery partners in: Australia, Barbados, Canada, Greece, India, Jordan, Malta, New Zealand, and Pakistan. Scoping has also begun in Malaysia, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, to be ready to run pilot programmes in 2019. Following the announcement of the newly expanded Prince's Trust Group, His Royal Highness took this opportunity to reiterate his commitment to giving young peo- ple in the UK and across the world a chance to succeed. The Prince of Wales paid tribute to the young people whose lives have been transformed by his char- ity and the devotion of all those behind its work. He also spoke of the opportunity to support more unemployed young people across the Commonwealth with Prince's Trust International's programmes in education, personal development and business. Prince's Trust International to- gether with The Prince's Trust in the UK, and newly formed Prince's Trust Australia, Prince's Trust Canada, and Prince's Trust New Zealand will strive to harness the barriers to social mobility to further support local communities. Lloyd Dorfman CBE, Chairman, Prince's Trust and Prince's Trust International, said: "The mission of our charity, to provide skills and jobs for young people, will create our common wealth. Since launch- ing at the last CHOGM in 2015, PTI has grown and developed. We are running programmes in nine countries, seven of which are in the Commonwealth, including Malta. We have supported over 4,700 young people and this is set to grow. We are making a difference and changing lives. With youth un- employment at over 40% in some Commonwealth countries, and our experience in the UK showing that young people are three times more likely to be unemployed as adults, there remains much for us to do and we have ambitious plans to grow." Guests also heard from Roland Vella, a 14 year-old Achieve pro- gramme participant from Malta, who said: "Achieve has helped me turn around my life. I now dream of being an example to others. There is no doubt that without Achieve, I would not be where I am today. I have taken control of my life and I look forward to what the future will bring." HRH The Prince of Wales meeting the Prince's Trust International participant from Malta, Roland Vella The Breast Cancer Gollcher Charity Walk THE Gollcher Group is organising a charity walk in aid of Europa Donna, which is an independent non-profit organisation which works to raise awareness of breast cancer and to mobilise the support of European women in pressing for improved breast cancer educa- tion, appropriate screening, optimal treatment and increased fund- ing for research.
