The FamiljaFund initiative was initially created by Famalco Group early in 2018. Its main objective is to safeguard employees and associates of the Group who find themselves in financial difficulties arising from an illness or accident. Although primarily operating on monthly and yearly donations from its 120 member pool as well as gen- erous employees of the group it- self, committee members of Famil- jaFund have taken the next step and began setting up their own popular events, in which all dona- tions and profits received flow di- rectly into the fund, to be saved for a rainy day. With the recent 1st of May, Work- ers Day public holiday marked on the calendar of many employees, Famalco Group's FamiljaFund took the opportunity to organise a well needed company Fenkata at the Tal-Karri Fields in Ta' Qali. This event saw over 170 guests take the chance to kick-back and relax over a drink, while a fantastic feast of deliciously cooked rabbit was prepared for them. Following a beautiful lunch served with starters, main courses, desserts and coffees, employees and guests pleasantly enjoyed participating in some company games whilst prizes were given to lottery winners. Famalco Group FamiljaFund intiatives over 1 May holiday SSANGYONG Motor have reli- ably hit 2019 running, following the company's January unveil- ing and market implementation of their newest first-rate pick- up model, known locally as the Musso Grand. Arriving on the Maltese islands earlier this month courtesy of SsangYong Malta, the impressive vehicle has already established itself in the eyes of critics, identifying the pick-up model as a truly im- pressive vehicle in its segment. The Musso Grand model has benefited from a more modern approach towards its exterior design. While many of the up- grades from the previous model have left the vehicle looking slicker, with its sharp pleasing curves emphasizing this pro- gress, the pick-up model's real exterior charm comes from its powerful, tough, and muscular stance. The durability and qual- ity of the Musso Grand designs give off the appearance that the vehicle is more than capable and eager of navigating through the harshest of environments. This newer 2019 Musso Grand model is 31 centimetres longer than its previous counterpart, with a 5.4 metre-long body. The height and wheelbase have also been increased by 1.5 centimetres and 11 centimetres, respec- tively. The long-bodied vehicle is highlighted by an increased load capacity of 1,262 lit- ters, which enables the Musso Grand to carry up to 700 kilograms on its deck, up by 75 per- cent from the previous model's 400 kilograms. The interior design of the vehicle has under- gone an entire remode- ling, increasing the level of refinement and con- temporary ambiance more akin to a premium SUVs. The newly well-fitted quilted nappa leather seats compliment the spacious natural feel of the vehicle, while still boasting the raw robustness and durability SsangYong admirers have come to expect. When designing the newer model, engineers took the opportunity to improve passen- ger accessibility and luxurious space within the vehicle, imple- menting increased leg-room and elbow-room in all possible areas. To find out more informa- tion about the Musso Grand or to view the new SsangYong vehicles, visit the SsangYong Motors Malta dedicated show- room in Attard which is open from Monday to Friday be- tween 9am and 6pm, and on Saturday between 9am and 1pm.
