Guest More is wanted by Cheshire police for the murder of cannabis farm owner Brian Waters in June 2003. Three other men John Wilson, 69, James Raven, 60, and Otis Mat- thews, 41 - are all serving life sentences for the murder. Waters had been tortured and beaten to death in front of his two adult children, who were forced to watch the murder at gunpoint. Together with the other men, More is accused of launching the attack at the re- mote property in order to de- mand money. The man had been on Eu- rope's most wanted list since the murder. He was arrested in Malta, where he was found to be using an alias, following a joint operation with British police. In a lengthy decision handed down in a 3 hour sitting today, the Court of Criminal Appeal, presided by Mr Justice Aaron Bugeja, ordered the extradition to proceed. Lawyer George Camilleri rep- resented the Office of the At- torney General in the proceed- ings. Lawyer Arthur Azzopardi appeared for the wanted man. UK's 'most wanted' will be extradited from Malta after losing appeal YANNICK PACE MILK producer Benna has an- nounced that the prices of all its fresh milk products will in- crease by the end of the month. A one-litre carton of whole milk will go up by 10c, while the traditional light blue carton will increase by 11c. In a statement, the company - Malta Dairy Products - said that the price increase was be- ing implemented to allow it to continue offering a good quali- ty product the consumers while running its operation feasbily. Over the past seven years, despite milk prices having re- mained stable, the cost of cow feed, as well as other opera- tional expenses had continued to increase. "During this period, the con- sumer continued to benefit from a broader range of milk products that match the high- est EU standards," it said. Malta Dairy Products added that the adjustment was neces- sary in order to for dairy farm- ers operation to remain feasible. It would also help sustain farm- ers that grow feed, which cov- ers 39.3% of agricultural land in Malta and 68.8% in Gozo. It said it was limited the ad- justment to the level of the gen- eral increase in the price of food as issued by Eurostat during the last seven years, insisting that it would also be further expand- ing the range of products avail- able to consumers. The company added that its fresh milk would remain "very competitively priced" when compared to milk sold in other EU countries. "Malta Dairy Products Ltd. is confident that customers will understand the importance of sustaining the local dairy and agricultural sectors and will continue supporting the sup- ply of fresh milk and fresh milk products which are superior in taste, nutritional value and quality," the company said. It thanked customers for the "continuous loyalty towards Benna products. MCCA to investigate price hike In a statement following Ben- na's announcement, the Office for Competition clarified that "in a competitive market, Malta Dairy Products is free to estab- lish the pricing of its products". "Having said this, the Of- fice considers the Benna fresh milk product range may hold a strong market position. In such a scenario, any price increase cannot be excessive to the det- riment of consumers," the MC- CA said. It said that following the first indications of potential price increases, the Office for Com- petition held a meeting with Malta Dairy Products, who it said were advised that, should any price increase takre place, the office would require details about how the price increase was established. This, it said, was "further fol- lowed up with Malta Dairy Products in the past months". "The office will be initiating an investigation to examine whether the actual increase in the price of milk is a result of abuse of a dominant position and in breach of the Competi- tion Act".
