This was a hard-fought match with the two respective goalkeep- ers distinguishing themselves with important saves throughout the match. Sirens began the match on high momentum and opened the score when Wellington served Memezes whose shot from out- side the box ended at the back of the net. Gudja United nearly equalised the score on 42 minutes when Winchester provided a precise cross towards Mensah with the latter being anticipated before he concluded. The Southenders threatened once again only two minutes lat- er and scored the equalizer when from a freekick by Aidan Jake Friggieri, Bolanos was at the right place at the right time and with a fine header, he placed the ball be- hind Sirens' goalie David Cassar. In the 53rd minute, Mensah provided a cross towards Aidan Jake Friggieri who had a great match and whose shot was par- ried away from Gudja Unted goalkeeper, Jonathan Debono. Gudja contnued dominating the match and three minutes lat- er, a shot from distance by Hu- bert Vella ended wide. The team led by coach Josef Mansueto was again near to scor- ing the winning goal on 65 min- utes when James Brincat served Mensah who alone in front of David Cassar saw the latter make a great save to deny the Gudja striker from finding the net.
