Events 29 maltatoday, Sunday, 1 February 2015 Capt. A. Caruana opens in St Julians Nuts are nature's way of showing us that good things come in small packages. These bite-size nutritional powerhouses are packed with heart- healthy fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals. Among nuts, walnuts are probably one of the best sources of nutrients as research shows they may boost your health in a number of ways at very easy-to-achieve "por- tions". Eating just seven shelled walnuts may be all it takes to take advantage of their beneficial properties rang- ing from metabolism to heart health to improving sleep. California produces the finest walnuts in the world, supplying ap- proximately 40% of the world mar- ket. Diamond of California walnut growers are family farmers with orchards in the heart of Califor- nia's central valley. Farmers use the very latest environmentally-friendly farming practices and are constant- ly paying attention to all walnut or- chards, from pruning to irrigation to harvest. Each walnut is carefully selected, sorted and cleaned and only the very best walnuts are given the red 'Diamond' stamp. Like most nuts, walnuts can easily be added to your healthiest way of eating. Just chop and add to your favourite salad, veg- etable dish, fruit, or cereal. Fruitland Co. Ltd. of Attard is the official distributor for Diamond of California walnuts in Malta.
