Themes may change from one week to the other Mapfre Middlesea J70 Med Cup - Day 2 DAY 2 of the Mapfre Middlesea J70 Med Cup has come to an end. With a North Easterly swell and a dying 6-10kt breeze, the five Teams found more testing conditions. With four races held yesterday, Team Mapfre Middlesea showed their dominance by taking a clean sweep. Although scoring four first places, Team Mapfre Middlesea did not have an easy ride and this result does not mean it wasn't close racing on the water. Each Team had their ups and downs with very close racing between all of the f leet. Team Betsafe and Comanche Raider had a few private battles as did GABA and MSC. Comanche Raider often made some brave decisions which paid in the long run. Organised by the Royal Malta Yacht Club and the J70 Association, the final day of racing takes place today, with all to play for. Races will be held in Marsamxett Harbour from 3pm onwards, and which promise to be quite a spectacle. PHOTOGRAPHY BYKURT ARRIGO
