The company has also an- nounced some major develop- ments, including its intention to take the platform to overseas markets. Other developments include lower costs on US Market Trades, which now start from $9.99, and the extension of trading desk sup- port hours to US markets close at 10pm. US stock quotes are also live – rather than subject to a 15- minute delay. The platform now also features advanced HTML5 charting. CCTrader was designed and is being developed entirely in-house, representing a considerable in- vestment in IT. Commenting on the Interna- tionalisation, Calamatta Cusch- ieri's co- CEO, Alan Cuschieri said, "There are a number of rea- sons why CCTrader is generating international interest; it is a mul- ti-asset platform which includes a number of customised functions which are very popular, but ul- timately we believe its success is due to customer service. "We have a growing number of overseas clients who are finding the platform to be user-friendly and competitive. We already have an Italian version of the platform as well as fluent trading desk and customer care staff. The company will be now establishing more dominant presence internation- ally, further details on this devel- opment will be announced in due course". CCTrader covers all the major investment classes, ranging from mutual funds, bonds, and savings plans to equities and ETFs on 35 exchanges. The platform provides access to over 30,000 instru- ments, including all local invest- ments such as government bonds, IPOs and local retail funds. No deposit is required to open an account. The platform can be accessed directly via live.cctrader. com. Calamatta Cuschieri group had just 20 staff when it launched the platform in June 2011; it now has over 60. Calamatta Cuschieri pioneered the local financial services indus- try in 1972, is a founding member of the Malta stock exchange and is licensed by the MFSA. Opportunities beckon every step of the way for Malta in becoming a regional hub for transport and logistics. All stakeholders need to continue coming together to inte- grate their efforts, as nearly all the elements such a geo-location, in- vestment in equipment and tech- nology, adherence to high stand- ards of delivery are in place. T wo areas that require immediate further investment are upgrad- ing human resources and training more people specifically on logis- tics. These are some of the salient points resulting from the 1st Lo- gistics Managers & Practitioners Forum. During the Forum, various is- sues and challenges were raised by different stakeholders includ- ing the operators, CILT Malta (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport), government, and HSBC Malta. There was consen- sus that efforts must remain fo- cussed on enhancing collabora- tion between all stakeholders. Supported by HSBC Malta's Commercial Banking business line, the Forum was held on the back of the 1st Transport Manag- ers & Practitioners Forum, held in October 2014 on the sidelines of Malta's first-ever transport and logistics awards, the Trans- log Awards. TransLog events are organised by Support and Supply Management Group (SSM) and marketing communications agen- cy BPC International. The T01 collection expertly created by two Italian companies Trussardi and Morellato Group, both famed for their artisan workmanship, are exclusively available at VIP (Sliema & Valletta) & Sunlab - The Point Alan Cuschieri speaking about CCTrader
