Events 49 maltatoday, Sunday, 5 July 2015 Melita rolling out faster mobile internet The current phase of Melita's five- year €70 million investment pro- gram is focusing on developing its mobile network to 3G+. Cus- tomers will benefit from this up- graded mobile network by means of a faster mobile internet service, with speeds reaching up to 42Mb- ps on mobile. This upgrade will complement the melitaWIFI serv- ice, which already delivers speeds of up to 100Mbps. The first localities that have been upgraded to 42Mbps mobile internet speeds include popu- lar social and entertainment ar- eas such as Valletta, Sliema, and Paceville. Pay monthly custom- ers subscribed to plans such as 'The One' are already benefitting from these faster mobile internet speeds. "As more services move to the internet, we are continuing with our aggressive investment pro- gram to ensure that Melita re- mains the broadband provider of choice. Maltese consumers and businesses have already voted Melita as the 'Best Buy Award' for both fixed and wireless inter- net. Through our next generation melitaWIFI services, customers already benefit from speeds of up to 100Mbps without needing new expensive phones and without bill shocks thanks to our 10GB data bundles. All this will now be com- plemented by fast 42Mbps speeds over the 3G+ network", com- mented Andrei Torriani, CEO at Melita. Mobile networking giant Eric- sson has been selected for the mobile network upgrade. Speed upgrades are being rolled out regularly in various localities and will continue over the coming months. This comes only a few weeks after another great beer from St. Austell – the "Big Job" – was named 'Supreme National Champion Bottled Beer' at the SIBA beer awards. SIBA is the Society of Independent Brewers, which is the Trade Organi- sation of over 800 independent brew- ers in the UK, large and small, who represent the best of British Brewing. Big Job won against 150 beers at the fi- nals of the beer tasting but there were many hundreds more that were tasted regionally before the finals. "These accolades are a clear rec- ognition of the excellent qualities of St Austell beers," commented Pierre Stafrace, General Manager of Farsons Beverage Imports Company Limited (FBIC) which represents St Austell in Malta. "We are very proud to bring to Malta's appreciative beer consumers the range of St Austell beers, which includes Admiral's Ale, Tribute and Tribute Extra, apart from Proper Job and Big Job". St Austell beers are available at Far- sonsdirect in Mriehel and in selected bars in Malta and Gozo. FBIC is a member of the Farsons Group. Harley-Davidson has unveiled its latest Summer Collection designed to provide greater functionality, versatility and durability to riders as they seek ultimate comfort and product performance both on and off the bike. The collection takes its laid-back and adventurous spirit from the broad sand deserts and beach at- mospheres found in Baja Califor- nia in northern Mexico with added focus on durability and comfort while making use of innovative high-performance features and fabrics. Elements such as wicking and mesh will help to regulate body temperature and increase airflow for a more relaxing ride, perfect for those long summer days. Harley- Davidson's 'Switchback Technol- ogy' provides the ultimate solution for riding jacket versatility, con- taining a textile outer panel that creates a mesh jacket, allowing riders to remove panels in warm weather and add panels in cooler weather, thus enhancing comfort on the road. The Men's Summer 2015 collec- tion features warm weather func- tionality and distressed materials drawing from the West Coast life- style that embodies summer. Per- formance technologies and new innovations continue to feature in the existing riding gear and casual apparel line-up. The Harley-Dav- idson Triple Vent System Road- worn Leather Jacket features three strategically placed vents on each side of the body allowing for versa- tile and customizable airflow. The Women's Summer 2015 Col- lection features high fashion warm weather riding gear and casual apparel with distressed materials, distinct graphics and bold colours, providing a fresh look to the Har- ley-Davidson Summer Collection. The Dark Shadows Leather Biker Jacket features lightweight washed cowhide leather with crushing treatment and embroidered appli- qué graphics with stud embellish- ment on the back, creating a more fashion-conscious style. The collection also sees the in- troduction of coldblack protec- tive finish technology, which re- duces heat build-up and provide reliable protection from UV rays, resulting in tangibly better heat management with no adverse ef- fect on look, feel or breathability. Combined with inventive styling and distinct seasonal graphics and colours, the new collection allows you to express your individuality and explore the road longer.
