APRIL 8 Hop Trio! & Ritmi-KA Ensemble project This year, the International Spring Orchestra Festival has teamed up with Education+ to bring three highly-regarded per- cussionists, forming the Hop Trio, over to Malta once a month for three months to work with two selected colleges. Taking place at Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Valletta at 20:00. With the help of their teachers, the local musicians will transform their experience into a piece to be performed tonight by the ritmi-KA Ensemble (Rhythms – Creative Action). Featuring work by Bonamy Devas, Libby Heaney and Anna Ridler. Comprising a three- room installation and education room, Sensory Apparatus is a col- laborative, interdisciplinary in- stallation, making visible the in- cessant flow of data we constantly and often unknowingly create, bringing into question our per- ception of how technology shapes the apparently 'optimised' society we live in. UNTIL APRIL 10 Soar – Anatomy in Motion This installation is the culmina- tion of a five-year long project by physician Charles Paul Azzopar- di, where the display of a corpus of 44 photographic prints is based on the practice of dance, photog- raphy and original writing.
