General Soft Drinks signs collective agreement THE General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd and GSD Marketing Ltd an- nounced the signing of a collec- tive agreement with the General Workers' Union (GWU) for the period 2015 to 2018. The agree- ment, which covers all industrial employees, was signed in the presence of Union committee members at the Company prem- ises in Marsa. The agreement was reached after extensive and intense ne- gotiations which were held over the past months between both parties. Employees will benefit from wage increases across all grades over the four-year term. A number of grades were also re- vised, in order to provide growth and development opportunities for current and future employ- ees. The proposed package was approved by employees during a meeting recently held by GWU. "I would like to thank the un- ion and all colleagues involved for their professionalism during the negotiations. This agreement continues building on solid foun- dations of previous collective agreements and consolidates our partnership with GWU," said Chief Operating Officer Maria Micallef for the GSD companies. Secretary General Josef Bugeja said, "The collective agreement was a result of efforts and good- will by both sides in the best interest of employees. GSD's management team has always recognised that their employees truly are their most important resource." The agreement was signed by COO Maria Micallef, General Manager Brian Galea, Chief Hu- man Resources Manager Shirley Grixti and Human Resources Manager Stephen Bonnici for The General Soft Drinks and GSD Marketing. Secretary Gen- eral Josef Bugeja, Deputy Secre- tary General Kevin Camilleri, Hospitality Section Secretary Kenny Muscat and Shop Steward Joe Grima signed for the General Workers' Union. The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd is responsible for manufac- turing a wide range of soft drinks across Malta, including brands owned by The Coca-Cola Com- pany (TCCC) including Coca- Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fan- ta, Dr Pepper, Sprite, Schweppes and Kristal. GSD Marketing Ltd is the dis- tributing arm of The General Soft Drinks products and other drink brands including Stella Artois, Heineken in kegs, Ba- varia, Berlin Beer, Lowenbrau, Cappy Juices, Caffe Mauro, Ne- stea, Powerade, Monster, Evian and Llanyr water. CENTURY 21 holds Global Conference CENTURY 21 LLC the largest global residential real estate company held its annual Global Conference between the 17 and 21 March at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel, Orlando, Florida. Nearly 4,000 agents from 64 countries were in attendance to hear from CENTURY 21 Presi- dent and CEO Rick Davidson and to learn best practices from world-class trainers and coaches for the industry including re- nowned sales coach Mike Ferry. The conference also served as a networking opportunity for col- leagues from C21 offices around the globe. In his opening comments, Davidson ref lected on the C21 global successes of the past year and stated that the "expertise, knowledge, outstanding cus- tomer service, and integrity of- fered by trained CENTURY 21 Sales Consultants underpinned the Company's outstanding per- formance". With further countries added to its international network over the last year, an increase in the number of offices worldwide and a growth in agent count, CEN- TURY 21 registered a substan- tial increase to its global sales, which continued to highlight it- self as a leader in the real estate industry. The final two days of Confer- ence focused on meetings spe- cifically for CENTURY 21 In- ternational Master Franchisors which addressed various opera- tional aspects including train- ing and direction on franchise sales.
