Following a free kick, Andrew Cohen sent an excellent pass towards Jurgen Degabriele who finished past Glenn Zammit. Sliema responded on the 18th minute. From a free kick, Denni Dos Santos Rocha fired a shot that forced a good save from Andrew Hogg. The Wanderers managed to equalise on the 35th minute. Ma- tias Muchardi was brought down by Rodolfo Soares inside the pen- alty area and Matthew Degabriele ordered a penalty. From the spot kick, Denni made no mistake and finished past Hogg. Hibs created a good opportunity on the 50th minute. Jorge Da Silva Pereira fired a shot from distance that was parried by Zammit. Two minutes later, Hogg was on the alert to deny Sliema. Denni managed to find Mark Scerri whose effort was spectacularly saved by the Hibernians goal- keeper. The Paolites were unlucky not to regain the lead on the 58th min- ute. Johann Bezzina saw space and sent a strong shot that hit the post. Hibernians suffered a setback on the 67th minute when Jackson De Lima Siqueira was sent off after receiving his second yellow card. Despite being a man down, Hi- bernians regained the lead on the 76th minute. Bjorn Kristensen sent an excellent pass towards Da Silva Pereira who slotted the ball past Zammit. Mark Miller's side left no doubt on the result one minute from time. Kristensen managed to find Bezzina inside the penalty area and the 22 year old hit a low shot inside the net.
