46 Events maltatoday, SUNDAY, 18 DECEMBER 2016 GO launches free telephone directory mobile app GO has launched a free tele- phone directory mobile applica- tion. The app, which is available from both the Google Play store and the App store, gives access to the numbers of all registered phone and mobile telephony cus- tomers that have agreed to have their numbers listed in the direc- tory service of their respective operator in Malta. The mobile app will include residential, busi- ness and Government numbers. No registration is required to use the app which can be accessed immediately after being down- loaded, providing there is an ac- tive internet connection. The new GO telephony direc- tory mobile app has an easy to use search function. Residential, business and Government num- bers can be searched by name, locality or address. Addition- ally, if users miss a call from an unrecognised fixed telephone number, an option exits for users to retrieve that caller's details, providing the caller has given consent for his or her details to be accessible. Kurt Camilleri, Chief Com- mercial Officer at GO, said, "The GO telephone directory mo- bile app puts hundreds of thou- sands of mobile and phone line numbers of all the operators in Malta on to the smartphones of anyone who wants to make use of it. Convenient, easy to use, and free, the launch of the app is part of GO's ongoing commitment to Malta as the country's commu- nications services provider." Each year the Bank produces a limited-edition un- dated notebook, to give out to clients visiting its branches at the beginning of the New Year. As part of the competition, employees were invited to sub- mit entries across three differ- ent categories – colour, street, and mobile. The best entries were then shortlisted by a panel of judges and subsequently put to a staff vote. With around 130 photos submitted by 15 different participants, it is safe to say that employees were eager to take up the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents. The win- ners' photos selected for this agenda are those which were best felt to represent the beauty of the Maltese Islands, from its idyllic meandering coastline to the eclectic mix of old and new in its urban areas. At Banif Bank, we believe that our success is driven by em- ployee engagement and moti- vation," said Karl Dingli, Head of Corporate Services at Banif Bank. "The staff photo compe- tition is just one of many ini- tiatives organised by the Bank with the objective of fostering a workplace, which is satisf y- ing, rewarding, and conducive to personal and professional development. And with such incredible entries submitted by our creative colleagues, we felt compelled to share them with our customers and give them the prominence they deserve in our yearly agenda!"
