Organised by Hedon Crew and featuring a live band along with various DJs playing 90s rock classics. Entrance is against a strict 'school uniform' dress code, and is against a €5 fee. MARCH 11 Eroica Beethoven and Brahms feature side by side under the baton of Principal Conductor Brian Schembri, with renowned soloists Jiman Wee and Kirill Rodin joining the orchestra to perform Brahms' Double Concerto at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta at 20:00. Originally written for Napoleon Bonaparte, Beethoven's Third Symphony was dramatically renamed "Sinfonia Eroica" or "Heroic Symphony" after the composer saw a different side to Napoleon than the one he had admired him for. EXHIBITIONS MARCH 4-22 Rituals for Our Safety Exhibition by Nikolas Ventourakis at Blitz, St Lucy Street, Valletta. Ventourakis is an artist in residence at Blitz, and the multidisciplinary exhibition will combine photography, projections and installation of new works created during the month-long residency. UNTIL APRIL 2 Forgotten Landscapes Multimedia exhibition of original artwork, photography, film and book publication on four select abandoned locations in Malta at Spazju Kreattiv, St James Cavalier, Valletta. Featuring artists Mark Mallia, Jeni Caruana, Marika Borg and Caroline Said Lawrence focusing on Jerma Palace, Mgarr Ix-Xini Pumping Station, Fort Campbell and Aħrax Tower. THEATRE MARCH 6 Le Nozze di Figaro Modern update of the classic opera Le Nozze di Figaro "for the age of Brexit and Trump" at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta at 19:30. MARCH 17-19; 24-26 She Stoops to Conquer TODAY WHAT'S ON Medieval Life in Mdina Free interactive tour and re-enactment at Mdina at 10:00. Featuring characters representing people who roamed the streets of Mdina during the 15th century. The tour lasts 45 minutes starting at 10:00 from St Publius Square just past Mdina Main Gate. Organised by Compagnia San Michele with the support of the Malta Tourism Authority. Lia Stringed With Strings Stretti Stretti Matinee concert at Splendid, Strada Stretta, Valletta at 14:00 under the artistic direction of Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci and forming part of the Strada Stretta Concept. Featuring baritone Joseph Lia and Auris String Quartet, consisting of Reggie Clews (violin), Agnieska Kuzma (violin), Sarah Spiteri (Viola), Yaroslav Miklukho (cello). The selected candidate will be expected to enter into a full-time definite contract (expiring in December 2017), where s/he will be responsible for the project activities including: - carry full responsibility for the coordination, implementation and administration of the project; - be responsible for the financial scrutiny of each payment, procurement and monitoring; and - liaise with service providers and ensure all outputs are delivered in a timely manner and to a high standard. The Project Coordinator must be in possession of: Either Pertinent post-graduate degree (Masters); or an appropriate, recog nised, comparable qualification + 1 year relevant work experience in EU project management Or Pertinent first degree; or an appropriate, recognised, comparable qualification + 3 years relevant work experience, 1 of which should be in EU project management The degree must be in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Public Policy, Social Policy, Commerce, Law, European Studies, Communications, International Studies, or Social Work. The individual needs to be a good team player, well versed in equality issues, computer literate and able to use all MS Office applications. Strong communication skills including excellent writing skills in both Maltese and English are essential for this position. Knowledge/experience of Accounts, Management and Government procurement regulations is considered an asset.
