Bjorn Kristensen fired a shot from a distance that ended off target. Mark Miller's side increased the margin of the score on the 34th minute, when from a free kick, Gilmar Ribeiro Da Silva sent a cross inside the penalty area towards Kristensen who slotted the ball into the net. Sliema responded on the 42nd minute. Following a free kick, Frank Temille saw his shot hit- ting the side netting. Hibernians lost a golden op- portunity to score again on the 44th minute. Gilmar sent a pass towards the unmarked Degabri- ele who finished high from an ideal position. Sliema started the second half looking for a goal and had a good opportunity on the 47th minute. From a free kick, Ricardo Calixto Correa Duarte sent a cross into the penalty area towards Jona- than Pearson whose header was neutralised by Andrew Hogg. The Wanderers reduced the margin of the score on the 62nd minute. Clayton Failla pushed Jonathan Pearson inside the penalty area and Glenn Tonna ordered a penalty. From the 11 metres mark, Alex Muscat fin- ished past Hogg. Hibs created the last chance of the match on the 84th minute. Marcelo Dias went on a good run and hit a low shot that sailed slightly wide of the post.
