He was pre- sented with a trophy to mark his achievement by Michael Galea, Chief Officer Business Devel- opment of MAPFRE MSV Life and Mario Meli, President of MASTERS FOOTBALL during a presentation held at the MAP- FRE MSV Life offices in Flori- ana. The Masters Football Player of the Month is a new award that was introduced this year by MAPFRE MSV Life as sponsors of the Masters Football Premier League. The player of the month is selected by coaches and offi- cials of the opposing teams by voting after each game, Scerri started playing football at an early age. He spent a num- ber of years with Hibernians and played regularly from the Under 12 to Under 18. He then played in the First Division with St Pat- ricks for five years followed by a season with Balzan in the Pre- mier Division. With Mqabba he won promotion from First Divi- sion to Premier and from third to second division with Fgura United. Scerri is now happy to contin- ue to play football in the Mas- ters League which he considers well-organised and very attrac- tive with high quality players. He is happy and enjoying him- self playing the game he loves, amongst friends and players he used to play with in the MFA Leagues. In Masters Football, Scerri played for two seasons with Żabbar St Patrick. This season he joined Marsa White Stars and had an excellent period helping his team to remain un- beaten and go top of the stand- ing in the MAPFRE/MSV Life Premier League. He also scored a good number of goals. Scerri is an excellent player and his dribbling is ex- tra special. He is also a regular member of the Malta Masters Selection Team. Michael Galea, Chief Officer Business Development of MAPFRE MSV Life presenting the award to Gilbert Scerri in the presence of Mario Meli, President of MASTERS FOOTBALL Medserv's interim statement highlights delays in Q417 and a strong 2018 MEDSERV'S update issued to the market this week highlights that the Group's business pipeline re- mains robust with a strong outlook for 2018, whilst earnings for second half of the reporting year are lower than forecast due to delays in pro- jects both in Integrated Logistics Support Services (ILSS) and Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG). Further to the company an- nouncement, Edison Investment Research also issued an update where they stated that although the project delays would see H217 miss expectations, contracted projects underpinned their FY18 estimates and for this reason this remained unchanged. The DCF-based fair value provided by Edison currently stands at €1.64 per share. The full Edison report can be viewed on the Company's website. The Group reported that the sec- ond ILSS base recently opened in Cyprus would become fully active in the coming month. Four to five wells are expected to be drilled in the waters offshore Cyprus in the next twelve months. Medserv Cy- prus would support the upcom- ing exploratory drilling campaign planned by ENI Cyprus from both its shore bases in Limassol and Lar- naca. The Group's Cypriot subsidiary has also recently participated in a tender for the provision of ILSS to a second International Oil Company (IOC) which is planning to drill next year. The Group celebrated a milestone event as the first delivery of pipes from Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation was success- fully discharged at the new METS base in the port of Duqm, Oman, earlier this month. This was the first consignment in support of this contract, the largest ever won by the Medserv Group, awarded in the beginning of this year for an initial period of five years with a five-year extension option. The Group reported that its Malta shore base remained a major con- tributor to the ILSS segment of the Group. This base was heavily active, and its business pipeline remained strong supporting International Oil Companies and the majority of subcontractors operating offshore Libya. The Group is at an advanced stage to conclude a strategic long-term contract for the provision of shore base services in a new geographical area. Negotiations are still continu- ing since the scope of services has increased. Contract execution is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2018.
