Ivan Paz sent a shot from a free-kick that sailed wide. A minute later, Kaljevic ex- changed possession with Carlos Eduardo De Fiori Mendes and the Brazilian player forced a good save from Giulio Cetran- golo. Cetrangolo was on the alert once more on the 22nd minute. Alex Da Paixao Alves saw his shot being saved by the Senglea goalkeeper. Three minutes from half time, De Fiore Mendes fired a shot from a free-kick that was tipped behind for a corner by Cetran- golo. Balzan scored the all-impor- tant goal on the 45th minute. Following a cross by De Fiore Mendes, Kaljevic finished inside the net. Five minutes into the second half, Kaljevic served De Fiori Mendes and the latter finished high.On the 53rd minute, Alex Da Paixao Alves of Balzan fired a shot that was blocked by the goalkeeper before hitting the post. Senglea went close to equal- ise in the additional time. Peter Sammut hit a powerful drive that went marginally off target.
