MONDAY Grand Hotel [Drama Series] 8pm on FOX Life (Channel 304) Charismatic Santiago Mendoza (Demián Bichir) owns the last family-owned hotel in Miami Beach, while his glamorous second wife, Gigi (Roselyn Sánchez), and their adult children enjoy the spoils of success. Smart, cunning Gigi is fiercely loyal to her twin daughters and while she is the hotel owner's second wife, she never considers herself "second" at anything. The hotel's loyal staff round out a contemporary, fresh take on an upstairs/ downstairs story. Wealthy and beautiful guests bask in luxury, but scandals, escalating debt, and explosive secrets hide beneath this the picture-perfect exterior. TUESDAY Inside Incredible Machines: "Aircraft Carrier" [Documentary] 9pm on National Geographic (Channel 406) For forty years, Nimitz class aircraft carriers have delivered US military might wherever it is needed, anywhere on the globe. But now, this legendary design is being phased out and new carriers are planned. But until they're ready, the giant Nimitz ships have to be kept at the forefront of military technology. In this episode, engineer and host Chad Zdenek spends a week on board the USS Carl Vinson to work with the highly-trained specialist engineers, mechanics and sailors who keep this incredible floating city in perfect working order during a critical mission in the Pacific – training twenty F18 pilots who have never taken off from an aircraft carrier. WEDNESDAY Wednesday Movie: "Hitch" (2005) [Comedy Drama] 9pm on Melita More (Channel 315) Dating coach Alex "Hitch" Hitchens (Will Smith) mentors a bumbling client, Albert (Kevin James), who hopes to win the heart of the glamorous Allegra Cole (Amber Valletta). While Albert makes progress, Hitchens faces his own romantic setbacks when proven techniques fail to work on Sara Melas (Eva Mendes), a tabloid reporter digging for dirt on Allegra Cole's love life. When Sara discovers Hitchens' connection to Albert – now Allegra's boyfriend – it threatens to destroy both relationships. THURSDAY Dust (2001) [Film] 8.50pm on AMC Channel (Channel 312) This Balkan western opens in New York with an old woman, living in a crammed apartment full of old photos, who outwits a burglar and forces him to listen to her stories. She recounts the saga of Luke and Elijah, a couple of freewheeling cowboys during the heyday of the American West. A fight over a whore named Lily ends their friendship; Elijah marries her while Luke turns into an embittered bandit, travelling the world. He eventually settles in with some cattle rustlers in Macedonia. Improbably, Luke and Elijah cross paths again, and soon after a complicated series of flukes and misadventures, end up embroiled in the Turks brutal attempts at maintaining control of the peninsula. Starring Joseph Fiennes and David Wenham. FRIDAY NASA's Unexplained Files [Documentary Series] 9pm on Discovery Science (Channel 402) Countless mysterious flying objects have been caught on NASA's cameras; could they have come from outer space? In interviews, astronauts and scientists explore the idea that there may be life outside of our planet. This documentary series unlocks the archives of the world's top space agency to reveal the truly extraordinary mysteries of the universe. Each episode offers first hand testimony from astronauts, NASA mission footage, plus beautifully-rendered CGI to bring to life these voyages revealing unexplained sightings that have dogged many of NASA's most famous missions. An astronaut hears a strange knocking outside his spacecraft; is there some creature outside the capsule trying to get in? And, could electric creatures on Saturn's largest moon, Titan, bring havoc on earth? SATURDAY MOM S6 Ep.5: "Flying Monkeys and a Tank of Nitrous" [Comedy Series] 10.15pm on Melita More (Channel 315) Marjorie's husband Victor dies after another stroke, yet she does not seem as upset as Christy thinks she should be. Marjorie later admits that her first feeling after Victor died was relief, and she scolds herself for it. Wendy tells her that when someone passes away after they were ill for a long time, the survivors often have already mourned for them. Marjorie finally breaks down while holding Victor's favourite cat. Girls Incarcerated: Young and Locked Up Netflix This documentar y highlights the daily struggles of the young girls ser ving time in a Juvenile Correctional Facilit y in America, shedding light on the under-discussed issue of juvenile incarceration in America.
