COMMERCIAL 20 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 20 OCTOBER 2019 THE Shoreline Residence Ltd participat- ed in Munich Expo Real 2019, an annual global event bringing together special- ists from all segments of the property, real estate and investment sectors. The Shoreline's representatives, Sales and Marketing Manager Andrew Gatt and Chief Financial Officer Jean Pierre Ford, registered a number of interesting on- stand enquiries from investors who re- marked about the great upside potential for investment in these residences. Gatt said: "The Expo attracted all the major players in the main product groups involved in architecture, investments, re- al estate, funds, asset management, trade and logistics, among others, and where experts and visitors discuss the market and what trends will take over in future. We had the chance to connect, interact and discuss possible opportunities and discover an increasing interest in col- laboration from firms whose respective business models fit with ours. It was an interesting experience, and we thank Property Malta Foundation for a well- organized and professionally managed event, as well as for the opportunity to expose The Shoreline on the Malta Pavil- ion. Excellent on-stand networking was also recorded among the Maltese partici- pants." Apart from The Shoreline Residence project, the Foundation pavilion offered exposure to a selection of prestigious projects, as well as several prominent estate agencies, law firms and ancillary businesses. The Shoreline will be home to approxi- mately 370 luxury apartments complete with a 25,500sq.m shopping mall having ample underground parking and over- looking the Smart City Malta Laguna at Ricasoli. The Shoreline showcases landmark project at Munich Expo Real The Shoreline Residence Ltd on the Property Malta Foundation pavilion at Munich Expo Real 2019 THIS month, MAPFRE Malta has contributed towards the production of a campaign cre- ated by the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation in order to support the initiative and gen- erate awareness for Pink Octo- ber. The campaign focuses on generating awareness regarding the prevention and/or early de- tection of breast cancer, empha- sizing the importance of regular self-examinations in order to significantly improve the pos- sibility of survival. Founded by Helen Muscat and Esther Sant, Action for Breast Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organisation which provides support to those un- dergoing the condition by col- laborating with other entities in order raise funds and generate awareness towards the cause. Two videos called Know Your Body and Know The Signs were produced by Action for Breast Cancer Foundation. The former video focused on the concept of understanding one's body in order to help detect any changes that may occur in the breasts, emphasizing the importance of early detection in saving your life. On the other hand, the Know The Signs infographic highlighted a number of things to look out for when practicing self-examinations, further em- phasizing that early detection is key to survival. In fact, as a result of increased awareness pertain- ing to the prevention of breast cancer, it has been noticed that there has been an 87% survival rate of those diagnosed with the condition as well as a steady de- crease in the mortality rate of women suffering from it. As a gesture of goodwill, the founders of Action for Breast Cancer Foundation delivered a talk for MAPFRE employees which highlighted the impor- tance of early detection through self-examination and leading a healthy lifestyle as a means of preventing breast cancer from occurring. Eating healthy, controlling weight gain, being physically active, avoiding smoking and checking yourself regularly were all highlighted as crucial factors in the prevention of this condi- tion. In addition, several lapel pins were purchased from the non-profit organisation and were distributed to MAPFRE employees to be worn through- out the month of Pink October. Further to this, MAPFRE Mal- ta is encouraging all employees to join this initiative by carrying out breast ultrasound screen- ings, the cost of which is being covered by the company. Going forward, MAPFRE Mal- ta will continue to support the initiative and spread awareness throughout the month. MAPFRE Malta supports Action for Breast Cancer Foundation for Pink October
