Themes may change from one week to the other St James Cavalier presents English-language think-tank lecture, interactive installation Following four successful editions of IDE@, a series of conversations with the public about the Centre for Creativity for the Maltese Islands and its Strategic Vision, the Centre is presenting a special edition in the English language, primarily for a non-Maltese speak- ing audience. This event will also coincide with the opening of an interactive installation ref lecting the salient points from the four public conversations presented since November. The Centre's Strategic Vision was launched in October 2014 with the appointment of Toni Sant as Artistic Director, and this meeting in the IDE@ series marks his sixth month in the role. The public conversation will be held on April 15 at 19:00 at the St James Cavalier Theatre in Valletta, and will feature Liz Ayling, Writer and Blogger, Milena Dobreva, Profes- sor of Library Info and Archive Science, and Ira Melkonyan, Performer and Researcher. The occasion will also see the inauguration of an interactive installation within the Main Halls of St James Cavalier, which will be open until May 3, 2015. This will feature video recordings of all the previous meetings and highlight significant quotations from the at- tendees' conversation points, while also allowing space for any visitors to leave their own feedback at their discretion. "The whole point of IDE@ is to open wide our lines of com- munication with the public and allow everybody to give us their feedback on our strategic vision for the future of Malta's Centre for Creativity. Through this English edition as well as the interactive installation, we are making sure to give as much space for expression as is possible – we want every- one to know we are listening," Toni Sant said. "However, we do recognise that these conversa- tions would be useless without our concrete action on the feedback received. We will therefore be making presenting an action plan about our way forward based on what you, the public, told us following the conclusion of this edition and closure of this instal- lation." More information about further IDE@ sessions will follow in com- ing weeks. The Centre for Creativ- ity encourages any members of the public who did not have the opportunity to attend a session over the past few months to attend this edition on April 15 by regis- tering their intent on www.sjcav. org. Anyone not able to attend is also very welcome to send their thoughts and feedback on ide@sj- cav.org. All past editions of IDE@ can also be viewed on the Centre's website at www.sjcav.org.
