Jazz, films, contemporary dance, photographic and cartoon exhibitions live rock bands and singer-song-writers concerts but al- so experimental theatre and 'literary evenings' have all been brought to life by University students and staff or artists from outside University of Malta over the years. AUGUST 14 The Convoy – Pyromusical The Convoy is the annual py- romusical show held on the eve of the feast in honour of the Assump- tion of Our Lady, Patron Saint of the village of Għaxaq, Malta from 21:30. The show is organised by St Mary Fireworks Team of Ghaxaq and all the fireworks are manufactured at St Mary's Fireworks Factory, Ghax- aq. A mechanised ground fireworks show will follow. AUGUST 14, 15 Fireworks Spectacular feat. The Tower of Light St Mary Fireworks Factory of Mqabba pyromusical show held on the eve of the Feast of Santa Marija in Mqabba on August 14, 15. Taking place on August 14 at 21:30 and Au- gust 15 at 19:15 at Triq Santa Marija, Mqabba. The display will continue with the traditional Maltese single shot shells known as Beraq Pront and Multi break colourd shells (Murtali tal-Kulur). The display comes to a close with a spectacular Grand Finale again with various types of fireworks synchronized to music. AUGUST 21 FAA Musical Summer Party Environmental NGO Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar organise a mu- sical summer party on Friday 21 Au- gust at Villa Mekrech, Għaxaq. This privately-owned Baroque villa has a garden which is being opened to the public for the first time in recogni- tion of FAA's ongoing campaign to save the garden from development. Admission fee: FAA members €38, non-members €40. Proceeds will go towards the costs of FAA's campaign to save Villa Mekrech gardens.
