43 Events maltatoday, SUNDAY, 6 MARCH 2016 Clean light by MEGAMANĀ® EVER since the first LED lamps made their presence on the lo- cal market some years ago, as an energy efficient and environmen- tally friendly replacement to incan- descent and compact fluorescent lamps, the technology has made gi- ant steps. Megaman was at the forefront as an innovator and manufacturer and today still is one of the leading brands worldwide for illumination. Megaman is committed to build- ing a better tomorrow by making eco-friendly products that offer improved energy efficiency, create the least environmental impact, avoid hazardous substances whilst focusing on improving product life expectancy and using recycled ma- terials. Megaman lamps are the best solu- tion for any kind of illumination ap- plication, providing optimal energy efficiency at the right price. They are so designed to complement per- fectly the majority of light fittings, with a vast range of options being available. ESS Ltd in Imriehel is the exclusive representative and distrib- utor of the products in the Maltese Islands. The brand launched a number of innovations during a design week at the end of 2015 as outlined below. LED filament lamps Megaman's innovative, nostalgic LED Filament Lamps come with a special look and high energy ef- ficiency. The uniform light distri- bution creates a soft and romantic atmosphere for the indoor environ- ment, which can be best integrated into quaint hotels and home design. RichColour Series LEDs Megaman has also introduced the branded LED candle lamps and reflectors with a colour rendering index of up to Ra95. These LED in- novations were designed to simulate natural light sources for restoring the original colours of items per- fectly. They are ideal lighting prod- ucts for shops, art galleries and ex- hibition halls. Perfect White technology Perfect White technology injects vitality to the white colours of the exhibits and retains the advantages of LED lighting such as excellent lighting effects and high-energy ef- ficiency so that white fabrics are viv- id to restore their "natural colours". Dim to Warm technology The use of "Dim to Warm" tech- nology and a line of products such as LED integrated downlights, AR111 reflector lamps, classic lamps and candle lamps can create a dim- ming effect almost similar to that of traditional halogen lamps. They have a linear dimming function of 100-10% or 1%, and their tones can be gradually changed from the full spectrum of 2800K to the darkest warm yellow of 1800K. They are the best lighting options to create a mood ambience.
