The mobile blood donation unit was inundated with donors when it paid a visit to Banif Bank's Cen- tral Services in Gzira. Bank's employees are always proud to help answer the call for donors put out by the National Blood Transfusion Service. "Here at Banif Bank, we take pride in the fact that we are close to the community," said Karl Dingli, Head of Corporate Services. "Not only does the Bank support and sponsor vari- ous initiatives, but our staff also take up that mantra, as shown by the great turnout for this blood drive." He continued: "We are proud of the fact that our employees want to give something so precious to those who need it and, as an or- ganisation, we do our utmost to facilitate matters when such op- portunities arrive. We look for- ward to the next blood drive." APS Bank has just launched its revamped website, with a respon- sive web design aimed at improv- ing the user experience of its on- line audience. While the website has retained its content and general features, the new functionalities make for easy reading and navigation with as minimum of resizing, panning and scrolling as possible across a wide range of devices, from desk- tops to smartphones. The project was entrusted to leading web development compa- ny Deloitte Digital, who provided the bank with a new design, mi- grated the content from the cur- rent website and created custom functionality of the web forms to ensure full compatibility with most popular devices. Patrick Aquilina, Marketing Manager of APS Bank, explained that "such an exercise comple- ments other efforts the Bank is undertaking as part of its digi- tal transformation, with more improvements to be announced soon." The new website can be accessed at www.apsbank.com.mt. GO plc has welcomed the 21 Feb- ruary decision by the Competition and Consumer Appeals Tribunal, which reinforced the requirement as set out in the Consumer Af- fairs Act for all operators in the telecommunications sector to en- sure that advertising messages and other marketing communications delivered to the public are truthful and transparent. With specific reference to the decision taken by the Appeals Tri- bunal, GO reiterated that all its products and services marketed as 'limitless' were exactly that – and always have been so – because they were never subject to any us- age restrictions or so called 'fair usage' policy. "This decision, therefore, will have no impact at all on customers who use GO's limitless packages across mobile and internet servic- es," the company said. APS Bank extends retirement product portfolio Philip A Tabone launches new range of products during open weekend GO welcomes effective implementation of Consumer Affairs Act APS Bank is collaborating with MAPFRE MSV Life plc to distribute their personal pension plans enhancing the Bank's range of retire- ment products. The MAPFRE MSV Life plc personal pen- sion plans, namely the personal pension plan (With Profits) and the personal pension plan (Unit Linked), offer various benefits and allow individuals to make changes to suit their cir- cumstances over time, offering the option to modify the amount of savings made, take pay- ment breaks , and make one-off top-ups. "Having a consistent and substantial income after retirement is something everyone wants. Investing in a personal pension plan simply means taking control of that outcome by start- ing to save now, rather than putting off this life-changing decision and relying on chance", commented Anthony Buttigieg, APS Bank's Head of Banking.
