maltatoday, SUNDAY, 21 MAY 2017 Events 53 HSBC Malta has installed its newest ATM at the popular PAMA Shopping Village in Mosta, to better suit the needs of the visitors and businesses in this new life- style destination. The ATM at PAMA brings the total number of HSBC Malta ATMs to 82 and fol- lows the SmartCity location inaugurated by the Bank last year (2016). The walk-up ATM offers a range of automated services, including cash withdrawals as well as cheque and cash deposits. The new ATM is part of HSBC Malta's re- cently completed Talking ATM facility, and as such is accessible for custom- ers with special needs or anyone looking to use larger fonts or voice technology. "PAMA Shopping Village has quickly become a great location on a busy thor- oughfare, and HSBC Malta's presence here adds to the overall visitor experience," said Charles Borg, CEO of PAMA Shopping Village. With the installation of the PAMA ATM, HSBC Malta now boasts of 39 offsite ATMs and 43 in branches. Vodafone Malta is in- troducing Roam Like at Home for its pay-month- ly customers travelling within the EU as from June 1 – two weeks before the EU regulation comes into effect. Customers on top-up plans or who top-up as they go will benefit from Roam Like at Home as from 15 June. Simply put, the concept of Roam Like at Home means that customers travelling abroad in any of the EU countries will be able to use their mobile phones without incurring any additional roaming surcharges. Vodafone Malta had pre-empted the EU regu- lation back in January 2016, having recognised the importance of giving its customers a worry- free experience when travelling abroad. In a first for Malta, Vodafone had moved to eliminate roaming charges through its new RED plans in- troduced last year. The changes in June will therefore mainly impact customers on top-up and older pay-monthly plans. Roam Like at Home changes to individual tar- iff plans will be commu- nicated to customers in the coming weeks. "Malta may be going through some polit- ical upheaval right down, but it great to see that it's the kids who are bringing positive and welcoming news to the international stage" stated Mr O Brien.
