She proudly spoke about her vic- tory at the Special Olympics where her team Unified Bowling won the Gold medal. Jessica was one of the athletes representing Malta at the Special Olympics which was held in Abu Dhabi. The team won a Gold medal, a doubles match secured anoth- er Gold medal and she placed amongst the top 10 during a sin- gles match. Jessica has been employed with Vassallo Group for the past two years. e Group employs over 1,800 individuals including per- sons with disability working in var- ious companies which form part of Vassallo Group. The group's leaders strongly be- lieve and encourage sports and fitness within the group and they truly lead by example as they regu- larly take part in marathons both locally and abroad. ey also have introduced vari- ous sports initiatives within the group from training for marathons, group gym memberships, workout sessions and health-related events to mention a few. For more information about Vassallo Group kindly visit www. lifeatvassallogroup.com Vassallo Group employee wins two Gold Medals at Special Olympics A group of Frank Salt Real Es- tate employees have just re- turned from Barcelona - the land of fiestas and Flamenco dancing. is is the company's sixth group of high-flyers who have been treated to an all- inclusive incentive trip in rec- ognition of their service to our customers, hard work, commit- ment and results achieved dur- ing 2018. Barcelona is a beautiful, pic- turesque city, buzzing with tourists, restaurants, archi- tecture and culture. e team spent a great five days in a stun- ning boutique hotel, located only a 10-minute walk away from bustling La Rambla. With a group of people as di- verse and motivated as Frank Salt high achievers, the trip would not have been complete without a strong element of adventure. Amongst other ac- tivities they experienced the thrill of a hot air balloon ride in the Spanish countryside, and various culinary experi- ences including visits to the oldest restaurant in Barcelona dating back to 1786, a 2-star Michelin restaurant, and a 'din- ing in the dark' experience. An- other escapade included a visit to the vineyards of Cava where the team sampled some of the most famous sparkling wines of Catalonia. e group were also invited to bottle, label and cork a bottle of Cava each to take home with them. The lucky team includes sales consultants Paul Bondin, Josi- enne DeGaetano, Pawlu Portelli and Roger Zammit, letting con- sultants Mirco Mai and Katya Scicluna, branch managers Ray Young and George Bonnici, branch secretary Alexia Sciber- ras and accounts assistant Ari- anna Cutajar Ghigo. Company director Grahame Salt accom- panied the group and led the numerous activities. The trip's itinerary included an element of work consisting of a number of brainstorming sessions and meetings, which this year focused primarily on internal and external client ser- vice, client needs, recruitment and new ideas for social media marketing. All meetings were held in iconic venues to bring out the best in creative think- ing. "The best session must have been the one we had at a beau- tiful park, packed with young people basking and lazing in the sun or simply walking their dogs" said George Bonnici. "We were all lying down on the grass in a circle, relaxed while soaking in the atmosphere and bursting with ideas". Asked about her experience, Katya Scicluna said "It was truly a rewarding experience where we felt valued as indi- viduals and above all as a team dedicated to our customers. It was an opportunity to bond to- gether and listen to everyone's ideas, as we all come from dif- ferent roles within the com- pany." "The time we spent together gave us a deeper insight about our daily roles, and how we could improve to be the dy- namic team that we all aim to become. It was energising to see that, ultimately, we all share the same vision. at means working towards the same goals as a team" Katya added.
