18 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 28 APRIL 2019 COMMERCIAL DOMINO'S Malta has been awarded a first place accolade in Product Quality in Europe by Domino's Pizza Interna- tional. The award comes after a thorough audit and inspec- tion of each and every Eu- ropean outlet by the mother company. And whilst all outlets pre- sented the required standards of quality, the Maltese stores not only exceeded the require- ments but set the bar higher with new levels of standards achieved. Famalco Group's Director and Co-Founder Hermann Mallia said: "We're incredibly proud to be able to represent the Domino's brand on the Maltese islands, and we've been working very hard to ex- ceed expectations! Receiving the first place award in Prod- uct Quality across Europe is a humbling experience, but at the same time it is truly a rec- ognition of the hard work and efforts the Domino's Malta team have been putting into our products since our open- ing. A huge thanks goes to both our team and custom- ers who have helped us set a standard we're proud of." The award for the Domino's Malta team is another step towards the strategic direc- tion that the company has embarked on. In fact, follow- ing their first year anniver- sary of operations, as well as the opening of a new store in Qawra, the Maltese Domino's team continually push them- selves and their performance to the maximum to live up to the Brand's overall mantra of being the best Pizza Delivery company in the world. Domino's Malta embraces this prestigious award which serves as a catalyst to maintain these high standards. The concert will be held on the 24th and 25th of May at Sir Temi Zam- mit Hall, University of Malta, with tickets at €15. Voca is a non-profit organisation founded in 2010 with an aim of promot- ing music by playing and singing diverse genres while raising funds for charitable and worthy causes. Voca is renowned for its distinguishing forte in gospel music, sung and played by seasoned choristers, soloists and musicians who share a love and passion for music. Voca's repertoire ranges from spiritual and worship music, to musicals and contemporary pop and the group has also performed overseas. Voca – The Journey will feature a live band and 40 choir members, support- ed by Errol from Airport Impressions and dancer and choreographer Warren Bonello and his students. This music extravaganza boasts over 20 numbers including iconic tunes by Abba, Queen, The Cranberries, The Greatest Show- man and Sister Act as well as songs by local artists The Travellers and Airport Impressions. "The term 'journey' in the title reflects a year- long relationship of the choir with the children at Rainbow Ward, where the group was involved in a number of activi- ties with both the children and their fam- ilies," said Voca Choir Committee repre- sentative Nicholas Zammit. "Our choice of beneficiary, then, was an obvious one. We hope to be able to contribute signifi- cantly to Puttinu Cares' latest project of acquiring a hotel in London to accom- modate families seeking treatment there, by sharing our love for music. We thank BNF Bank for its sponsorship, which will help us greatly in achieving our fundrais- ing goals." "Combining the love of music with the dedication towards using musical talent for a laudable cause did not leave us with any doubt when it came to choosing Vo- ca Choir for extending our support," said Alison Grech, Senior Coordinator at BNF Bank. "Moreover, the concert promises a fantastic medley of contemporary music and older tunes to whet the appetite of a wide audience. We are eagerly looking forward to it!"
