The people of France gave it to the US in 1886. It's 151 feet high and weighs 225 tonnes. 3. The most valuable Christmas card was sold at an auction in Devizes, Wilt- shire, UK in 2001 for £20,000 (approx. $40.000). The card was originally sent by Sir Henry Cole of Bath to his grandmother in 1843! 4. Most expensively decorated Christ- mas tree: The most expensively decked Christmas tree was erected on 7 De- cember 2002 at the Tsunamachi Misui Club, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan by Piaget Japan. It was decorated with 83 pieces of jewellery, which had a total value of 1,357,785,000 Japanese Yen ($16 mil- lion) 5. The world's longest Christmas cracker measured 63.1 m long and 4 m in diam- eter and was made by the parents of chil- dren at Ley Hill School and Pre-School, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, UK on 20 December 2001. The cracker contained balloons, toys, a hat (2.5 m in diameter) and a joke. The cracker was pulled by children of the school and members of Saracens Rugby Club and went bang. 6. David Richards, a Canberra lawyer and businessman, broke the world record for most lights on a Christmas tree by illuminating a tree in downtown Canberra with 518,838 twinkling lights. Richards created the Christmas extravaganza to raise money for Canberra's Sudden Infant Death Syndrome charity, SIDS and Kids 7. Every year, the citizens of Gävle Sweden build the world's largest christmas goat out of straw. This is their Christmas tradition. Bronner's Christmas Wonderland is a retail store in Frankenmuth, Michigan that bills itself as the "World's Largest Christmas Store".
